The Khurasan machine is made to fit (barely) on a 40x40 stand. Nice model.

At least they are fast 3Ax. They can be fun to play with in Hilly Terrain but their Aggression of 3 means they will frequently fight on their enemies open fields.....

I don't think the scale creep genie can be put back in the bottle at this point. What I would like to see is some truth in advertising by figure makers. If they aren't 15mm say so. People will likely still buy them but those looking for something compatible with other ranges will know before they buy.

Thanks for the picture Texus! Very helpful. I am painting up the Eureka Sumerians now (great figures BTW). I'd say they are just a fraction taller than Essex and about the same shorter than Legio Heroica. But it takes a pretty close up inspection to notice. They would look fine on the table together. The Museum? Not so much IMO.

Lovely Landsknechts Tony - how would you describe the "size" of the Blue Moon figures? Larger 15's say as compared to Essex? I've looked at many of their ranges but don't want figures that push the 20mm envelope. Eric, I would say they are almost exactly like Old Glory 15mm figures. As a matter of fact there are some sculpting similarities in them. Thanks Tony. That is great news.

The Cortez figure (all the Spanish actually) are from the Khurasan Renaissance Spanish range. The army (IV/19(c)) is a 3.0 variant of the Tarascan,Toltec-Chichimec & Chinantec list. Basically a Spanish Colonial army with Tlaxcalan allies.

I just received a package from Mirliton the other day. Inside were figures to add to my Communal Italian army as well as figures for an I/36(d) Italian Hill Tribes. I'm using figures from their Etruscan range and squaring off the scutum into a more IHT squarish look. Also figures to fill out a RRR Venetian Colonial army. Always so much fun to get figures in the mail. The unpainted army pile continues to grow however. But that's a good thing right?

I got an email from Nic at Eureka stating that he has the masters in hand for the new 15mm Sumerian range. He expects to start the molding process right away and should start shipping the figures in a couple of weeks.

Really cool idea and so well executed. I have a printed page in a binder for each of my armies that shows the elements I actually have, their enemy list and I recently added some reminders on special abilities like flank support and such but this takes it to an entire new level.

The Aztec Blades are actually Fast but I went with one of my typical basing "Heresies" and put 5 figures on the base for looks and so they wouldn't look so skimpy next to the 8 figure Fast Hordes. Since the entire army is fast its easy to remember.

I've been watching the range as it was slowly released on the Khurasan Facebook page. Timing is everything. I was considering doing the Ottomans using OG figures. But I'll scarp that plan and use these. Beautiful paint job as well. That really helps the sales pitch IMO. Other companies should take note.

I'll add another one. Easy to shrug off disappointing/boring games. Just set up another and move on! How many times with other rules did we play a clunker of a game that took all night/afternoon to play.

I'm tempted to go on an extended whine about being "sandbagged" but instead I'll saddle Paul with the Spanish and allies and play my brand new unblooded Aztec army. He can't moan about his own scenario can he?

I've played against Paul's "Million Horde" army. Its like playing "whack-a-mole". You keep destroying elements but not get any closer to victory. My solution? Paint an Aztec army so I can return the favor.
