I have numerous Legio DBA armies and they brought me great joy to paint and play with. Giuseppe was a true gentleman and a pleasure to communicate with. His armies are now extra special to me.

That figure on the right is one of the middle year codes - ANC20057 - Persian Levies in Median Dress. That is distressing news..... that means there is severe scale-creep within the EAP range itself. I really want to use Xyston figures for an EAP army but am not keen on having some packs be unusable next to others. Grrrrrrrr.......

Very helpful Goragrad! The Xyston figures look compatible on the game table (in opposing) armies with the other figures. EXCEPT for whatever that giant is on the right in group pic. Yikes! Fear of hat kind of scale-creep is what has prevented my from ordering Xyston figures in the past.

I'll happily trade the recoil if tied for the ability to zip at full speed through the jungle. Firewood for cooking pots being gathered now. I wonder what kind of side dish goes best with slow footed bow?

Guess I never really considered the legality or any advantages game wise of square or curved camp bases. I just go for the best look. As for another player complaining? I don't play tournaments so not really an issue. Otherwise I'd likely just pick up my toys and go home. Life is too short.

And I'm painting a Spring and Autumn Chinese army from the same Khurasan range as Paul. Full of HCh and 3Pk to try and hunt-down/steamroll the half of the Red Ti army that actually counts towards victory.

And I just ordered a I/32(c) Spring and Autumn - Other Chinese army to face Paul's Red Ti. Fun mix of HCh and 3Pk. They will have to contend with a likely solid front line of his Hordes. That means I have to kill 4 out of his 7 remaining elements. Its frustrating to see casualties pile up for your opponent and realize NONE of them count.

Its actually a resin casting that I cut in half so it would have a flush side for table edge. Maybe JR Miniatures? I picked off a hobby shop wall years/decades ago.

An Ancient British and II/54(a) Scots Irish game was loads of fun. We used the optional Ax 40mm recoil and it seemed so right - being able to dance out of a locked melee with the British Wb. And in a second game Paul and I played an un-historical match-up featuring two of the oddest Horde elements in DBA land. The Ancient British with their screaming women vs. the (b) Scots Irish with their Saint and Praying Monks Horde.

Khurasan Miniatures have just released figures for III/8 Central Asian City States. They look very nice. "Mr. K" also states they could be used for a III/11 Central Asian Turkish army.

Thank you Goragrad. I noticed my "Senior Moment" shortly after I posted the question. I will likely place an order for a Wei army soon.

And thanks for the tip for Pete's Flags. I just ordered a set for a Venetian Colonial army I'm working on.

The Wargame Zone is handling Lurkio figures now. In addition to teasing some new ranges they have a "Pack Breaker" option that is perfect for DBA gamers. Single figures available if the 12 pack doesn't work. You can search on Lurkio and the site comes up as "presented by" the Wargame Zone.

Curious what other more knowledgeable folks think about all the armored cavalry in the Lurkio range. In the 3.0 commentary it says "horse armor is occasionally mentioned but was probably not common". Where would the Lurkio Cataphracts and Guard Cavalry fit?
