Vikings have 11x4Bd. Norse Irish can get to 4x4Bd then mostly Ax. Not my area of history but Wikipedia suggests Vikings fought on both sides so may be Brian could loosen the purse strings and hire Viking allies. Now it's 11 v 7 in terms of 4Bd. Also, the proximity to the coast, the role of the sea and tide in the Annals, would allow for large areas of Marsh, methinks. This is not something that would be recorded as it was probably ubiquitous at the time. So some Viking allies and lots of Marshland may give Brian a fighting chance? Cheers Jim Or class the terrain as having similarity to that in Finland so the Vikings fight as Ax?

Well they’re finished and now with sheffmark for the application of paint - great fun creating them, I don’t know how historical they are but as long as the man’s happy so am I. I’ll be honest I didn’t read the army list properly I thought it was 1 hd element so when 11 oxen arrived by post I thought b****y hell what have I done!. K The man's happy! And what you've done is provide some wonderful sculptures. Paint now being applied and will be posted on FB when they're finished. Can we see some pictures of them when they are done please?

Yep, that link still works. As it looks like it's historical enemy changes, I'll work out how to include it and go from there. I'll fix the mutual errors and clarifications in the main lists, but the other corrections I'll do as an option. I'll get started on the process, but it may take a few weeks before I've got the changes in I'd still check in with Stevie to ensure that I've sent the link to the latest version.🙂

Ah, ok. I misunderstood exactly how that was working. Yes, putting in some verbiage on how it's making matched pairs and what the intended use is would help. What I was hoping for was something along the lines of "I have this list of armies, which ones don't have anyone in their enemies within this list?" It would also help to produce the list of pairs that the process created. That might help a lot making it more obvious what it's doing. I've put some wording together which will go live when I've got it working properly (I'll also be adding a space for names, so hopefully that will make it clearer as well) The missing list of pairs was due to a typo in my code, so that's been fixed, if you use it again it should give you the list of pairs. As to the functionality that you were expecting to see, that is definitely doable, so I'll spend some time working on adding that as well
EDIT: The functionality you were expecting to see has now been added (under "Matched Group Generator") and some wording has been added around the Matched Pair generator, which now should be working mostly correctly, although some work still needs to be done on optimising the output to produce the most possible matches.
Haardrada - where are the corrections to army lists located? And is this corrections to the list contents or just to the historical opponents?
I'm not sure if this is the latest version or if the link will work? Otherwise Stevie is the best person to contact about this. acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:EU:a212fb72-235e-4d12-92bf-bb99ac73058d

I feel like Asia and the New World are chronically under-represented (with a few exceptions). I agree, Most Asian/Steppe armies outside China and India are poorly represented and either don't exist or are only available from overseas or old ranges. This may also be due to lack of knowledge and source information available plus also potency of the army. Noticeable North and Latin American armies and South Asian or Pacific armies are poorly represented....especially in 15mm. Since the loss of Outpost miniatures a huge gap in potential steppe armies are now gone....I myself used some of their figures to represent Chinese and Steppe armies from the Three Kingdoms period right up to the Sung Dynasty....They even had Burmese,Khmer and Siamese ranges plus Steppe and Muslim ranges.Early Samurai and Late Jurchen/Manchurian.Yes Khurasan and Eureka miniatures cover a lot of these ranges but paying the extra import tax can make purchases expensive. Doubtless there are several other ranges worthy of attention and I hope one day most armies can be represented in some way. I wish you luck and every success in your enterprise.🙂

Will the army list corrections be applied, or will the data remain as published in the purple book?

Just one new army per year I said....
paint up the armies I have to reduce the pile I said....
I've already acquired three new armies since Christmas.....oops scratch that, I've now ordered enough "bits" to produce a morph army that can be used as either Pre-Feudal Scots or Free Cantons German.😆

Today by doing a bit of morphing with my 6mm Italian War figures and my War of the Roses figures I created a Swiss army IV/79C and Burgundian Ordnance army IV/85A. The Burgundians took the L/H option over the artillery or Knights. I played Swiss and my solo system handled the Burgundians. As the title says the Swiss should have kept to making clocks! I was slaughtered 6 elements to nil. shot to pieces by the longbows and then ridden down by the knight elements. Even halberds blown away by cannon fire, So much for the mighty Swiss. No wonder they all became neutral! Unfortunately Cromwell DBA does not cover a few essential qualities the Swiss had over the Burgundians....Quality,ability, training, numbers and almost always complete suprise. Its well known that Pikes are a broken element in DBA 3.0. Funny enough I used to play Late Swiss against Burgundian Ordonnance and Early Burgundians at 1,500 and 2,000 point levels with the WRG 6th and later 7th edition rules and never lost a battle!...Once impetuous nothing was going to stop the avalanche!lol

That's a canny looking fire effect you have going on there!
We did something similar to place on k'od tanks in micro games using cotton wool and poster paints adding dark greys and black to show a little oil in the mix. 💥💥💥

Forgive me if you are already aware of this site and it's facilities. I was just looking for a way to reverse images to produce a flag and found this free site....you can crop and reverse your images which I then sized using a college facility on my smartphone and have happily spent a few hours producing flags for several of my armies.😁 myedit.online/en/photo-editor
