Hi there,
I’m looking for advices and tips about how to best play Siam 4/40.
What choose with Tropical if I’m defender ?
What army composition ? Cv or Bd ?, 6Wb or 6BD, Bw or Ps …
So I would learn to best play with this army. So could you help me please ?

I like the Siamese army and used it for a tournament where it did really well, (used in honour of my cat!)
I think I went with a cav, 4 x fast blades, 2 Wb and a couple of Bw as well as the Ps and El's. (Because it says 'or' between the Wb, Bd and Ax you can have any mix of them, you don't have to have all 6 of one type)
You can always use the Bw and Bd in rough or bad going (unless the Bd are facing Wb) to support the Wb and Ps otherwise you have a strong centre of fast Bd and Els with Bw, Wb and Cav support.
Plus they are colourful to paint.

I have used Siamese in tournaments before and used the 3Bd - because they have the most punch and as fast Bd are manoeuvrable. I used the Cv to exploit flanks and gaps and a couple of Bw with the Elephants to deliver the killing blow.
When defending in Tropical I put down 'enclosures' - rice paddies which provided some good Rough Going that my fast Bd could exploit.

So for compulsory : 1 little wood, and optional : 2 Enclosures or 1 enclosure and 1 Road right ?

J ai qlqs armées tropicals avec du Pk Je place essentiellement des forêts et des enclosures/marais. Mais parfois une rivière peu aider à contenir l adversaire.

A road may prove useful if it meanders between two large swamps. Mr. E, also suggested a river, this is also useful. |

Effectivement je ne joue pas à Chanier, je ne sais même pas où c’est ! Je joue à Orléans où nous organisons des tournois trimestriels. Au plaisir peut être à un tournoi ! |
