Several of us have tried to contact him over last year or so but not been able to and no show at several tourneys he normally goes to.
I fear he may have gone to the great inappropriate t shirt shop in the sky.
Wherever he is I hope the pubs never close, Alexander always wins and rivers make sense.

I'd just assumed it was a DBF thing. I hope he's okay (and still with us) as he was always excellent value (understatement).

I have tried to contact him via email and telephone but have been unsuccessful. Still hoping he is too busy creating the perfect rule set to post on Fanaticus.

Not likely, my brothers in lead. Sadly I suspect that this level of radio silence portends ill tidings.
Let us pray he is simply fed up, and has lost interest in DBx till further notice. I do not have it in me to consider the alternatives.

To my knowledge, Stevie's name was Stephen Andrews. His last post on this forum was Oct 26, 2023. He attended the Bakewell tournament. The reason I've been asking if Fanaticus' Stevie was from Alsager, Cheshire is because it's an hour's drive from Bakewell, and on 14 November 2023, a Stephen Andrews of Alsager, Cheshire passed away suddenly. funeral-notices.co.uk/notice/andrews/5157505If this is a different Stevie (and someone here must surely know), then I will be greatly relieved. (My apologies for posting this kind of join-the-dots information, as I know how hurtful it could be irrespective of whether it is correct or not. I certainly miss communicating with Stevie. He will always be the heart and soul of this forum. I would love for *our* Stevie to suddenly pop in and declare, "No, old chap, I'm afraid that's not me - there's only one Stevie and I'm very much alive, thank you!") |

Stevie mentioned in a post at the end of November 2021 that he lived "in the Nottingham area".
Looking at the map, Alsager is mid-way between Nottingham and Chester as the crow flies, so I suppose it depends on how flexibly one defines "area" - and, of course, he could have moved house in the meantime.

Yes, and in 2018 he mentioned travelling from the East Midlands and being a regular at the Nottingham Beer Festival, so Nottingham was definitely right for some time.

Not me. But surely someone who knew him well on this forum must know something. (I'm in Australia, not the UK, which doesn't help.)
My last private message with Stevie was on Oct 2 2023, and he was his usual witty self. We were discussing 'Armies of the Macedonian and Punic Wars' among a few other house rule related things.
Has anyone from the Fanaticus Forum or the DBF development group had contact with Stevie more recently than Oct 26 2023 (his last post on this forum)?
