Upon further investigation (thanks Gonatas), we can safely rule out Stephen Andrews of Alsager as our Stevie. (Apologies for the misinformation; this is the danger with this kind of thing. From silence and very little to go on, interested parties try their best to connect the dots, and errors can occur.)
The mystery continues.

A memory of Stevie
Was harvesting some onions the other day and this memory came into my head of Stevie, spending his last Pip, looking up and saying "Well that's a small French onion, i.e. that's Shallot"!

If he was in IT that ties in with the LinkedIn entry for a Stephen Andrew’s working in Nottinghamshire for a company called Game Inc. Stephen Andrews
Gaming Consultants Inc on LinkedIn. Gaming Consultants, Inc. Gambling Facilities and Casinos Renton, WA 669 followers 1K-5K employees
36 associated members 1 in Nottinghamshire, UK
And with this member's account on LinkedIn, there are zero posts and they spelt 'PLANNING ASSISTANT' as 'PLANING...', so looks like it was set up by the company back in 2008. Contact info was changed a year ago.
Is this the one you tried to contact Stevie on?

Sorry to be pedantic, but this looks a lot like what my good friend Ray did for years. It isn’t IT as such, But Video Game Artist. Or at least that is what Ray referred to himself as

I can't find an obit for Stevie (Stephen Andrews or alt spellings) in the UK for the period (weeks-months) following his last post here on Oct 26, 2023, other than the one in Alsager which has since been discounted. Oct 26, 2023 is also the last date he was 'logged in' under his username. He can still visit the forum without logging in. Stevie is/was one of the DBF (De Bellis Fantasiae) playtesters. His last contribution to DBF according to Paulisper was end of Oct 2023. Medievalthomas (one of the chief designers of DBF) has not posted on Fanaticus since Dec 13, 2023, and was last online (logged in) on Dec 14, 2023. But Tom is still very much alive and posting DBF updates on the DBA & HOTT Wargaming Facebook page. So I'm leaning towards Stevie being 'absent', and either unable to communicate or choosing not to. It's a shame that Stevie is not around - because he is missed - and that those members who regularly privately messaged Stevie have not been able to shed further light on his absence from the forum.
