I finished 'Military Thought of Asia' a while back and then dived into "Powers and Thrones" by Dan Jones - a thoroughly engaging history of the Middle Ages with some clever parallels to the modern age thrown in for fun. I finally finished that tome (640 pages) on Saturday evening and then dived into "Arthur the King" by Allan Massie a King Arthur story supposedly taken from the manuscripts of Michael Scott when he was the tutor to Fredrick II the Hohenstaffen Emperor, so it blurs the line between Sub Roman British Historical Novel and High Medieval Romance, not bad but not the best King Arthur story I've read (and let's face it, there are a lot of them to choose from) Cheers David, next up Parzival? Cheers,

So, over the weekend I returned to my Three Kingdoms Chinese and painted the figures for the 2xLH. They have been glued to bases and goop applied, which dried overnight. Today I'll paint the bases and apply flocking. Next up are the figures for the 3Cv element.

Between yesterday and today I was able to clean up, glue on to painting nails and prime the figures for the 3Cv(G), 3Cv and 2xLH elements. Over the weekend I aim to apply paint to the Light Horse figures, base and flock them. Let's see how successful I'll be. Cheers, Well, I didn't get back to the Three Kingdoms Chinese. Instead I was distracted by another project. You can see what I've been up to here: fanaticus.boards.net/thread/4162/new-desert-terrain Hopefully now, I'll be able to complete the Chinese over the next fortnight. Watch this space. Cheers,

AFAIK Scale Creep is open for business. I ordered a bunch of stuff from them in December and it was fulfilled without issue and quickly. A lot of the figures turned out to be Feudal Castings. Good to hear! In another thread, I saw this post from Bill Hupp of Thistle & Rose: "We manufacture the figures at Thistle & Rose; Mark just distributes them at Scale Creep."So, a little confusing, but if it works, voila! Paul, I went directly to T&R from Australia. Bill Hupp was able to fulfil my order for Lusignan Cypriots from their T&R and Feudal Castings ranges. Only 2 weeks delivery from Illinois to my address. Cheers,

On the previous iteration of this forum I believe that Mithridates was the avatar. Happy to be corrected if I'm misremembering.

So huge thanks to Spitzicles for running what has to have been the best Cancon DBA event in several decades I had a great time - with 3 wins from 6 on each day. Things ran so smoothly - DBA is the wargame they play in heaven. Cheers Let me echo your sentiments David. Peter and you ran a very tight operation over the 2 days with nary a hiccup. 30 players was certainly a great turnout. To paraphrase the sports pundits, "DBA was the winner over the 2 days". Over the next couple of days I hope to post a report of my barely adequate performance. Cheers,
