Don't worry about it! I have heard it said that those who are not confused are those who have failed to realise how complex the situation actually is!

With the display name "Cromwell" I think that might be a possibility... It was my interest in the English Civil War that first got me into wargaming, although I spend more time on the ancient period now. I had been a member of the English Civil War Society earlier in my life. I must admit that I have sometimes wondered whether the 'Cromwell' of this forum had been one of the lads on the other side of a lot English Civil War Society re-enactments. I am afraid I never joined any re-enactment groups although I did consider the English Civil War Society but I just did not have the time. Strange thing is although I would have pushed a pike for the Parliament cause my ancestor actually fought for the King.

Whenever I visit this site I go to the 'Home' page first. On the home page (before I follow the link to the forum), the latest posts always seem to show the name of the original poster (whoever started the topic ) rather than the name of the person who made the most recent post. That isn't a major problem for me, because whenever I visit the forum, it shows whether or not a board has unread posts. think this may answer the question

I have just purchased and received via E-Bay a 1976 copy of SDC's strategic game "Cromwell" in near mint condition.
I have already played the simple introductory game. Reading through the rules this looks like a good basis for a campaign vehicle for my ECW games.
Does anyone else remember this game?

Sheffmark has pointed out to me that a couple of posts on threads he made did not on the forum board show him as the latest contributor. Has anyone else noticed this problem?
Or know why it could be happening?
Thanks

Old History tutor once told me
"The future is unknown and cannot be understood, the present can be understood by some briefly before it becomes history and slips from our grasp and with it our full understanding"

I recently fought Ancient British V Early imperial Roman. I defeated the Romans by also using my P on the flanks, Light Horse on flanks and chariots to sweep round the Roman flank. Seemed a sound tactic.
