Nice set of images at that link.
I have been wondering though how much 'standardization' by the artists of these paintings occurred in their depictions of the rank and files equipage and costume.
Unless the artist was an eyewitness with a photographic memory it would be significantly easier to 'block in' at least the secondary figures.

After a break for some work and a bout with the flu (sister-in-law and niece tested positive, brother didn't for COVID - didn't go in for test myself) looking at finishing painting and gluing to bases 4-1/2 elements of OG15 OR06 SP for my Later Crusaders, a 4KN element of Early Essex/Mike's cataphracts for my LIR, and two PS elements of Essex MID64 Javelinmen for the early Medieval pool.

A bit late (flu), nice scenario write ups and AARs.
When looking at command demoralization are you rounding up?
I.e. a break of 4 for a 10 element command.
Leaves them not quite as brittle while with your 8, 10, and 6 element commands gives potential army demoralization a bit closer to the standard 1/3.

I have an abundance of TTG Blemmye\Nobades cavalry and infantry (and 3 smellies) and am looking at getting them into the queue.
However, TTG (Alternative Armies) has no camel riders in that line. Looking at the list in Purple, it refers to 'skin clad' riders with barbed spears. Would these be Blemmye specific or did both armies have them? If so, does anyone have a good idea for suitable figures?
TTG/Alternative does have camel riders in their Arab line in typical turban and robe attire (and they have a sale on), so I may go with that option.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Awaiting delivery of some Essex Sea Peoples chariots and infantry picked up off of the TMP Marketplace.
Good place to pick up some bargains when members clean out their closets.

Interesting.
Been debating on figures and list for a DBA army for my ancestors.
Have copied your pictures for reference.

Been busy with work but still getting some painting done. Finished March with 4-1/3 CV elements of Gladiator FE012 Prussian light cavalry, an element of WB and 3 elements of3WB using a mix of FE027 and 029 Spearmen and Axemen, 3-1/2 elements of Prussian/Lithuanian Archers, as well as 5 elements of Essex MID 95 Eastern Javelinmen with kite shields. Gets me a Book IV Prussian army with a start on the BBDBA army as well.
Hopefully Scale Creep Miniatures will get a restock on the Gladiator Pruss in the not too distant future so I can fill up the partial elements.
Also finished up a HD element with OG15 CRU-11 and 12 peasants and pilgrims.
So far this month have painted and attached to bases 4 elements each of Essex NA2 and NA 3 Medium and Heavy Spearmen.

Last week I finished painting and glued to bases 6 KN elements of Mike's Models armored cavalry. Based on the fact that they were picked up on ebay listed with some francisca armed infantry, I believe that three of the elements are AH-4/AP-19 code. Although they could also be AP-4 Early Ostrogoth or AP-5 Italian Ostrogoth as I don't have pictures of the catalog.
Not quite sure on the code for the other 3 elements of KN - they have splint vambraces and greaves along with shallow hemispherical helmets with no nasal along with a larger rimless domed shield. Might actually be from the Carolingian line.
Also finished painting and attached to bases 3-1/2 PS elements (mislaid one of the figures) of Essex EFA5 Early Frank Archers. More rugby tunis. Along with the KN elements will be used in a Middle Frankish army.

Thanks for the reply, Martin.
Should have followed your link rather than just looking at the comments here.
It confirmed my understanding of arms on caparisons and of liveries.

May pick it up, although I have the rules and a number of the army books and only played one game at the club before it fell out of favor... I wouldn’t care for it as a tabletop game, but as a computer game I find it works well. A shame that DBA has not found its way back into the computing world after the demise of DBAOL.. 😢 P Good to know.

Nice report on the Poles vs the Teutons (vivat Polska!).
Nice work on the Castillon scenario and report on the battles.
Apparently the francs archers are fit for a bit more than killing chickens.

Before I got busy with some work projects at the end of February I managed to paint and glue to bases 2 3AX elements of Minifig Z-70 Armenian javelinmen, 2 LH elements of Asgard/Alternative MRC05 Italian Mounted Crossbows, and 2 SP elements with Minifig Z-246 11th Century French infantry.
There was a bit of 'bloom' on the Armenians and French so I went with the ammonia bath lead rot treatment before undercoating them and use solvent based paints rather than water based as a further precaution.
This month has seen 3 elements of Alternative's MEG-2 Late Gun Sets for the Burgundians. According to Heath's Armies of the Middle Ages these guns appeared in the 1470s and as the Burgundians were noted as having long bronze guns that outranged the Swiss it seemed appropriate to paint up the crews in Burgundian colors.
P.S. those Bagratid Armenians are very nice, paul!!! Definitely will be looking at them when working on mine. Don't suppose that the iconography and images were available in digital format?
