 This is one of the figures I got from Magister Militum in one of those items that have multiple poses, maybe the "Citizens in revolt" one, not sure. However, like other manufacturers, I assume they use the same parts of sculpts for multiple figures, and I guess this one got slipped in. At first. I thought it was a screwed up spear, but I am convinced it is a tail... I will keep it on, as he is going to be in a Horde, and what the heck. I will try and see if I can locate the other item where the figure is supposed to have a tail. |

The figure is an early Nubian.
If he is to join ‘rioters’, then he has nicked a bit of memorabilia.

If he's early Nubian, is he wearing an animal skin with tail left intentionally? I mean people still wear leopard prints for effect!

I wish I had more than one figure of this guy, so I could find out.
I checked on their site, looking at the various fantasy figures they have, but could not locate one with a similar tail.

Perhaps he is bringing up the tail end!  Lets hope the effectiveness of the Horde he joins doesn't tail off!!  Wonder if his civy job is a tailor!! Contact the manufacturer and ask about it, I bet there is a tale in there somewhere!! I think his name is Charlie, but his mates just call him tail-end!! |

i think it's an Arc Bow, just cut it and glue it to his back.
<edit> hum no it's too small, Nubian bow are about 1.5 - 2 meters high...

An interesting figure. I don't know why but I immediately thought of a Spartan. It seemed to me that this is a continuation of clothing. My wife thought it was a tail. Lol

Supposed to be an animal skin (lion skin), used as a kilt. As drawn in the Stillman and Tallis ancient near east books, I think….

Resurrecting this thread because I'm trying to track down a couple of these figures and I think Magister Militum have discontinued this particular pose. (It's not NUB4 as that has a feather headdress and lacks a shield.)
A long shot, but does anyone have a couple of these which are surplus to requirement?
