II/1 Republican Indian Army (500 BC – 321 BC) remove I/60a Achaemenid Army (550 BC – 547 BC) II/2 Mountain Indian Army (500 BC – 170 BC) remove I/60a Achaemenid Army (550 BC – 547 BC) II/3a Classical Indian Army (500 BC – 178 AD) remove I/60a Achaemenid Army (550 BC – 547 BC)
The end date for the Achaemenid 'a' sub-list was change and it should no longer appear as an enemy for each of the Indian lists. Action: Remove I/60a Achaemenid Army (550 BC – 547 BC) from II/1 Republican Indian Army (500 BC – 321 BC) Remove I/60a Achaemenid Army (550 BC – 547 BC) from II/2 Mountain Indian Army (500 BC – 170 BC) Remove I/60a Achaemenid Army (550 BC – 547 BC) from II/3a Classical Indian Army (500 BC – 178 AD)

II/5a Spartan Army in Greece (448 BC – 276 BC) add II/6 Bithynian (435 BC – 74 BC)
These were mutual enemies in the older version. Bithynia should be added as Dercylidas must plunder it. Action: Add II/6 Bithynian (435 BC – 74 BC) to II/5a Spartan Army in Greece (448 BC – 276 BC).

II/5L Black Sea Greeks (410 BC – 310 BC) add II/12 Alexandrian Macedonian (359 BC – 319 BC) II/15 Alexandrian Imperial (328 BC – 321 BC) add II/5L Black Sea Greeks (410 BC – 310 BC)
Agree as this would cover Philip’s campaigns but I do not find any references of conflict during Alexander’s reign. Perhaps, after the death of Alexander (323 BC) to the end date of this list (321 BC) the Pontic Greeks joined in the revolts against Macedonian rule. Acton: Add II/12 Alexandrian Macedonian (359 BC – 319 BC) to II/5L Black Sea Greeks (410 BC – 310 BC) Add II/5L Black Sea Greeks (410 BC – 310 BC) to II/15 Alexandrian Imperial (328 BC – 321 BC).

II/26 Later Rhoxolani Sarmatian (310 BC – 375 AD) add II/5L Black Sea Greeks (410 BC – 310 BC)
The Black Sea Greeks are omitted from their list, but the II/26 Bosporan are noted. Action: Add II/5L Black Sea Greeks (410 BC – 310 BC) to II/26 Later Rhoxolani Sarmatian (310 BC – 375 AD).

II/76 Koguryo Korean (300 AD – 668 AD) add II/79a Chinese Northern Dynasty (317 AD – 589 AD)
II/76 is listed as an enemy of the Chinese Northern Dynasty, but is not mentioned on the Koguryo list of enemies. Action: Add II/79a Chinese Northern Dynasty (317 AD – 589 AD) to II/76 Koguryo Korean (300 AD – 668 AD).

II/81d Strathclyde Army (580 AD – 1034 AD) add III/19a Welsh Army (580 AD – 1149 AD)
Strange as even the older version listed the Welsh as enemies of II/81d. Action: Add III/19a Welsh Army (580 AD – 1149 AD) to II/81d Strathclyde Army (580 AD – 1034 AD).

More Book II errors:- II/58 Alan Army (50 AD – 1500 AD) add? II/64b Eastern Middle Romans (193 AD – 324 AD)? II/64b Eastern Middle Romans (193 AD – 324 AD) add? II/58 Alan Army (50 AD – 1500 AD)? II/58 Alan Army (50 AD – 1500 AD) remove? II/78a Western Late Romans (307 AD – 408 AD)? II/78a Western Late Romans (307 AD – 408 AD) remove? II/58 Alan Army (50 AD – 1500 AD)? (Shouldn’t the II/58 Alans be mutual enemies of the II/64b Eastern Middle Romans? And did they ever get as far as the II/78a Western Late Romans...not just as allies and subjects of the other migrating Germans, but as an independent tribe?) A couple more Book II errors:-
II/55c Beja (823 AD – 1500 AD) remove III/31 Umayyad Arab Army (661 AD – 750 AD) (Army II/55c lists III/31 as an enemy, but III/31 doesn’t mention II/55c, and the dates don’t match)
This was an error carried over from the old version and indeed the dates do not match. Action: Remove III/31 Umayyad Arab Army (661 AD – 750 AD) from II/55c Beja (823 AD – 1500 AD).

II/81c British Armies (471 AD – 580 AD) add II/54b Scots-Irish (433 AD – 841 AD) (Army II/54b lists II/81c as an enemy, but II/81c doesn’t mention II/54b. Note that II/54b also lists II/81b, and II/81b doesn’t list II/54b...but that has already been discovered and is in the new Book II corrections on page 5)
These were mutual enemies in the previous version and seem to be omitted in the new version. Action: Add II/54b Scots-Irish (433 AD – 841 AD) to II/81c British Armies (471 AD – 580 AD).

More Book II errors:-
II/58 Alan Army (50 AD – 1500 AD) add? II/64b Eastern Middle Romans (193 AD – 324 AD)? II/64b Eastern Middle Romans (193 AD – 324 AD) add? II/58 Alan Army (50 AD – 1500 AD)?
This is an interesting question as Rome encounter the Alan in Asia Minor (135 AD) and after their battle with Arrian they return to the ‘Pontic Steppes’ (north of Black Sea). This is an area which also borders the Roman province of Dacia.
During the Middle Roman period the Alan moved out from under the spotlight as we find them allied with a number of Germanic, Gothic, even Sassanid armies so they could appear as an ‘allied contingent’ on the game board. Expand this to the big battle option and you would need to field the full twelve elements.
Action: I do not view this as an error until such time as new documentation or archaeological evidence is presented. Players should however, be made aware of them appearing as allies when fighting against the Eastern Middle Romans.

II/58 Alan Army (50 AD – 1500 AD) remove? II/78a Western Late Romans (307 AD – 408 AD)? II/78a Western Late Romans (307 AD – 408 AD) remove? II/58 Alan Army (50 AD – 1500 AD)? (Shouldn’t the II/58 Alans be mutual enemies of the II/64b Eastern Middle Romans? Stilicho fought the Vandals and Alan in Raetia (401 AD) and the Alan, under Kings Goar and Respendial invade Roman Gaul in 406 AD. Action: No need to remove.

II/61a Wu-huan/T’u-yu-hun/Hsien-pi (90 AD – 316 AD) remove II/21c Former Ch’in Chinese (351 AD – 394 AD) II/21c Former Ch’in Chinese (351 AD – 394 AD) remove II/61a Wu-huan/T’u-yu-hun/Hsien-pi (90 AD – 316 AD) (Although these two are listed as mutual enemies, their dates don’t match.)
The older version records II/61c Other Hsien-pi (317 AD– 431 AD) as enemy of II/21c Former Ch’in Chinese (351 AD – 394 AD). This is definitely an error. Action: Remove II/21c Former Ch’in Chinese (351 AD – 394 AD) from II/61a Wu-huan/T’u-yu-hun/Hsien-pi (90 AD – 316 AD). Remove II/61a Wu-huan/T’u-yu-hun/Hsien-pi (90 AD – 316 AD) from II/21c Former Ch’in Chinese (351 AD – 394 AD).

The older version listed ‘all three’ sub-lists of II/61 as mutual enemy which is incorrect. The same error was transferred to the new version. Action: Remove II/63 Three Kingdoms/West Chin (189 AD – 316 AD) from II/61c Other Hsien-pi/T’u-yu-hun (317 AD – 431 AD). Remove II/61c Other Hsien-pi/T’u-yu-hun (317 AD – 431 AD) from II/63 Three Kingdoms/West Chin (189 AD – 316 AD.

From old to new version the Sassanid list expanded from one to three sub-lists. II/64b do appear however in the correct Sassanid sub-list. Action: Remove /78b Eastern Late Romans (307 AD – 408 AD) from II/69a Sassanid Persian Army (220 AD – 224 AD). Remove II/69a Sassanid Persian Army (220 AD – 224 AD) from II/78b Eastern Late Romans (307 AD – 408 AD).
