D'oh !!!!!
Sunday 21st of July - this is what happens when I stay up late watching "Where Eagles Dare" and then start on "The Omega Man"
Reality has been altered to fix the problem.
Now only Gregorius' quoting of my message is the only evidence of that alternate reality
cheers

Sunday was the first event in the "Grand Maurice" series for 2019-20 and the standings are
Steve Hopkins - 10th Percentile Brenton Searle - 20th Percentile Jon Willacy - 30th Percentile Mick Sellman - 40th Percentile David Osborne - 50th Percentile Tony Cotton - 60th Percentile David Lawrence - 60th Percentile Leigh Dunn - 70th Percentile David Lucas - 80th Percentile Richard Sisson - 90th Percentile Guy Sheppard - 100th Percentile
There are still four events left in the series and only three are needed to qualify
See you there
Cheers

Wintercon is almost upon us - the second event in the 2019-20 Magister Militum per Capitoline Territorialis Circuit
At this stage we will probably have a similar number of entrants to Collision Course in May - but only 4 will have played in both so far - Landwaster and Cancon will become all the more important for everyone to make the required 3 events to qualify.

Wintercon is done and dusted - we have four players who have played both tournaments Steve Hopkins - 30th Percentile Brenton Searle - 30th Percentile David Lawrence - 40th Percentile David Lucas - 90th Percentile
And a further 13 who have one game under their belts Gary Moriarty - 10th Percentile Jon Willacy - 30th Percentile Mark Baker - 30th Percentile Mick Sellman - 40th Percentile David Osborne - 50th Percentile Tony Cotton - 60th Percentile Greg Kelleher - 60th Percentile Leigh Dunn - 70th Percentile Adrian Williams - 70th Percentile Chris Burg - 80th Percentile Richard Sisson - 90th Percentile Peter Phelps - 90th Percentile Guy Sheppard - 100th Percentile
There are still 3 events left in the circuit Landwaster (November) and the two days of Cancon (each day is one event) so as yet, no one is out of the hunt.

Given that I have sparked interest in the Grand Maurice elsewhere on the boards it is a good time to remind potential players that the third event in the Magister Militum per Capitoline Territorialis circuit for 2019/20 is coming up. Landwaster is just a scant 4 weeks away - and give Cancon in January counts as one event per day - technically anyone can still qualify for the Grand Maurice - just by playing Landwaster and both days of Cancon. Those already named above can improve their standing This also bumps the thread up to the top again for anyone looking for it. Cheers

The third event in the "Grand Maurice" circuit is now done and dusted.
We have 4 players already qualified - who can improve on their current ranking at Cancon Brenton Searle - 26th Percentile Steve Hopkins - 31st Percentile David Lawrence - 54th Percentile David Lucas - 74th Percentile
There are a further 7 players who have played in two events so can still qualify with just one day of Cancon Gary Moriarty - 18th Percentile Greg Kelleher - 34th Percentile Mark Baker - 44th Percentile Mick Sellman - 45th Percentile Jon Willacy - 48th Percentile David Osborne - 63rd Percentile Leigh Dunn - 85th Percentile
And finally there are another 7 players that have played one event so can still qualify with both days of Cancon
Tony Cotton - 60th Percentile Adrian Williams - 70th Percentile Chris Burg - 80th Percentile Richard Sissons - 90th Percentile Peter Phelps - 90th Percentile Scott Blanch - 92nd Percentile Guy Sheppard - 100th Percentile
And last year has taught us that Cancon with its much larger entry pool (20+) gives better scores than the other three giving all those that play a chance for a late charge.
Cheers

And with Cancon over the 2019/20 Magister Militum Per Capitoline Territorialis circuit is done.
Overall - 34 players competed in DBA Events in Canberra over the year - with 8 qualifying for the MMPCT by playing in at least 3 competitions and one more qualifier based on the seldom used clause of the rule that gives international entrants a qualification with two events.
This year the "Grand Maurice" goes to <drum roll> Mark Baker who finished in the 18th Percentile
The rest of the pack were Brenton Searle 19th Percentile Kendall Blue 23rd Percentile Gary Moriarty 24th Percentile David Lawrence 25th Percentile Greg Kelleher 29th Percentile Steve Hopkins 31st Percentile David Lucas 74th Percentile Guy Sheppard 78th Percentile
So that's it for 2019/20 - get ready for 2020/21 which kicks off with Collision Course in May

So barring COVID-19 based cancellations the dates for Collision Course and Landwaster have now been booked.
Collision Course - DBA With A Twist - Sunday May 24th Wintercon DBA - Sunday July 19th Landwaster - Sunday November 22nd
Australia currently has a ban on indoor events of over 100 attendees - my boutique DBA Tournaments fall well under that threshold.

And now that the sound of crickets has died away - The Hunt for the Grand Maurice is back for 2021-22.
We are including the Goulburn Tournaments in the circuit so if all goes according to plan we will have at least the following in the circuit
Push of Pike - 21 February 2021 Collision Course VI - 23 May 2021
DBA @ Wintercon - July 2021 Landwaster 2021 - 28 21 November 2021 Cancon Ancient and Classical - January 2022 Cancon Dark Age and Medieval - January 2022
All depending on pandemic restrictions, finding venues and in the case of Wintercon and Cancon - the Canberra Games Society organising the events.
If we have any more events in the Canberra Region I will include them as well.
So - after last week's Push of Pike the initial standings are Mark Baker - 8th Percentile Greg Kelleher - 15th Percentile Leigh Dunn - 23rd Percentile Guy Sheppard - 31st Percentile David Lawrence - 38th Percentile Peter Spitzkowsky - 46th Percentile Justin Swain - 54th Percentile Gary Moriarty - 62nd Percentile Stephen Hopkins - 69th Percentile Andrew Chico - 77th Percentile Dean Bedlington - 88th Percentile Michael Spitzzkowsky - 92nd Percentile Peter Rixon - 100th Percentile
Cheers
