The Rating Points used for the Magister Militum prizes at my tournaments and subsequently for the Magister Militum per Capitoline Territorialis are as follows

El - 50 pts

3Kn/4Kn/HCh - 46 pts

4Bd - 43 pts

6Bd - 41 pts

6Cv - 39 pts

8Sp - 39 pts

Sp - 38 pts

4Wb - 37 pts

WWg - 37 pts

3Cv - 36 pts

Cm - 34 pts

4Ax - 34 pts

Add 7 pts to the army for a General that is not a CP/Lit/CWg

Add 2 pts for each Mtd foot element that is 4Ax or 4Wb

Add 3 pts for each other solid Mtd foot element.

Subtract 4 x Aggression Rating.

This Rating system took into account the chance of each of the element types above destroying each element type collapsing it into a weighted % chance of destroying and being destroyed (the weighting factor was the maximum number of each element type in the army lists - ie you can get an army with 12 x 3Bd but the most 6Kn you can find is 3).

Other factors that modified the rating were

Positive Effects:

Recoil effect (recoils on a tie - fast troops / does not recoil - WWg, 7Hd )

Movement rates

Subsequent moves allowed

Shooting Range

Bad Going Advantage

Flank/Rear Support

Not counting overlaps

Not counting towards losses

Negative Effects:

Cannot move into contact

Costs More than 1PIP to move

Counts as an extra element lost

So the 2016-17 Circuit is done and dusted - over the course of the year we had 41 players enter into the DBA Tournaments here in the ACT and from that 12 qualified for the Magister Militum per Capitoline Territorialis.

The Grand Maurice went to <drum roll>

Gary Moriarty who finished in the 13th Percentile with adjusted scores across the four possible events.

Gary competed in 3 of the four - Collision Course III/3, Cancon (Ancient & Classical) and Cancon (Dark Age and Medieval).

The remaining qualifiers finished as follows

Greg Kelleher - 21st Percentile
Alex Filewood - 37th Percentile
Brenton Searle - 42nd Percentile

Darryl Hills - 46th Percentile
David Lawrence - 47th Percentile
Michael Chellew - 49th Percentile
Phillip Baldoni - 50th Percentile
Peter Spitzkowski - 51st Percentile
Ken Filewood - 52nd Percentile
Leigh Dunn - 55th Percentile

Congratulations to all who qualified.

Fully half the qualifiers competed in all four events across the circuit.

The next Magister Militum per Capitoline Territorialis Circuit kicks off in May with the DBA with a Twist tournament

So get the lead out - paint it and play DBA

Technically if such a beast existed that would be the case - however I think you are usually the one that points out that the only Mtd foot in DBA3 are various types of mounted bows. 

However before that fact came to light (ie I didn't go through each army list and find out that while the rules allowed for a general mounted foot category, the lists only gave mounted shooters) I actually set up a special calculation for mounted foot that took into account

1) The move distance points for Mounted Fast foot make things worse (because they now can't go full speed in Rough/Bad going)

2) They are destroyed in Bad Going

3) They get subsequent moves

I did not count Mtd-foot as a separate element type, but instead modified the total for that foot type if they were mounted

Mounted Fast Foot get no addition for being Mounted

Solid Ax and Wb would add 2 if Mounted versions existed

Other solid foot add 3 for the privilege of being mounted

The real force multiplier in my rating system is that a dismounting element M/F or M//F counts as the sum of the two types - I do this because of the tactical flexibility allowed - the commander can choose at deployment whether to be the mounted or foot element and further to that - the double slash kind can change to foot if the tactical situation arises later in the game.  It gives that element a distinct advantage.

You will usually see players that use these army types tumble down the adjusted scores listing.
