On the weekend I updated my calculation routine to include the extra event (Wintercon) - the joys of statistics
There are now 10 possible combinations of events for a qualifier who chooses any three of the five on offer
For those that want an early start on the ladder to the Grand Maurice - Common Ground is only three weeks out]
Cheers

So the chase is on for the "Grand Maurice" after the first event in the Magister Militum Per Capitoline Territorialis circuit for 2018-19 ran on Sunday.
As it stands the following have the first of the required 3 events:
Brenton Searle - 7th Percentile Gary Moriarty - 14th Percentile Greg Kelleher - 21st Percentile David Lucas - 29th Percentile Mick Sellman - 36th Percentile Rob Michels - 43rd Percentile David Osborne - 50th Percentile Guy Sheppard - 57th Percentile Tony Cotton - 64th Percentile David Lawrence - 71st Percentile Leigh Dunn - 79th Percentile Peter Phelps - 86th Percentile George Stocic - 93rd Percentile Dean Bedlington - 100th Percentile
Wintercon is coming and it is time to choose a side.
Making DBA on Sunday 22nd July improves your chances of winning the "Grand Maurice".

Two of the five events are now complete as the chase for the Grand Maurice continues
The following players have completed two events and need only one more to qualify
Gary Moriarty - 11th Percentile Brenton Searle - 12th Percentile Greg Kelleher - 36th Percentile David Lawrence - 48th Percentile Tony Cotton - 53rd Percentile David Lucas - 64th Percentile Guy Sheppard - 74th Percentile Peter Phelps - 85th Percentile
And the list of those with only one event - so needing two more to qualify Mark Baker - 33rd Percentile Mick Sellman - 36th Percentile Rob Michels - 48th Percentile David Osborne - 50th Percentile Stephen Hopkins - 58th Percentile Julian O'Sullivan - 67th Percentile India Searle - 75th Percentile Leigh Dunn - 79th Percentile George Stocic - 93rd Percentile Dean Bedlington - 100th Percentile
Landwaster and the two days of Cancon are on the way - so anyone can qualify as there are still 3 events outstanding.

Landwaster is just around the corner (25th November) which is one of three more events in the Magister Militum Per Capitoline Territorialis Circuit
So at this stage it is anyone's race as only three events are needed to qualify

Now that MOAB is out of the way the time has come for all DBA players with their eye out for the Grand Maurice to gear up for Landwaster - less than two short months away
And I have heard that overall tickets to Cancon are starting to get snapped up in this fast paced world of online registration - so consider getting in early for DBA at Cancon

Landwaster is now only two weeks away and of the 12 entries so far
Four will have completed the minimum qualification (3 competitions) at the completion of Landwaster and so can use Cancon's 2 days to improve their position
Seven will have completed two competitions so only need one more (like 1 day of Cancon) to qualify.
That leaves just one player who is starting their journey at Landwaster (so they can still be in the running come Cancon)
Cheers

Landwaster is done and we are on the home stretch for the 2018/19 Magister Militum per Capitoline Territorialis circuit.
Seven players have already qualified for the "Grand Maurice" having competed in Common Ground, Wintercon and Landwaster
Gary Moriarty - 13th Percentile Brenton Searle - 19th Percentile David Lawrence - 49th Percentile David Lucas - 51st Percentile Tony Cotton - 60th Percentile Stephen Hopkins - 69th Percentile Guy Sheppard - 77th Percentile
They can improve by competing at Cancon, any better adjusted result will swap out their worst one and improve the average.
A further 7 have competed twice and can still qualify with only 1 Cancon Result, or by playing on both days improve their chance.
David Osborne - 29th Percentile Greg Kelleher - 36th Percentile Mick Sellman - 64th Percentile Leigh Dunn - 68th Percentile Dean Bedlington - 75th Percentile Peter Phelps - 85th Percentile India Searle - 88th Percentile
And finally we have 5 players who can still qualify by playing both days of Cancon Mark Baker - 33rd Percentile Rob Michels - 43rd Percentile Julian O'Sullivan - 67th Percentile Jon Willacy - 67th Percentile George Stocic - 93rd Percentile

Cancon is almost upon us and so the final tussle for the Grand Maurice of 2018/19 begins
I am expecting six more from the two groups yet to qualify will be competing at Cancon giving more competition to the seven already qualified who can also hope to improve their standing with a good placing at Cancon.

And with Cancon now done and dusted for another year the final points for the Magister Militum per Capitoline Territorialis
Over the course of the year we held five DBA Events in Canberra and a total of 34 players competed. Of these 10 competed in 3 or more events thus qualifying for the Grand Maurice.
The winner was
<Drum Roll>
David Lawrence - with a final best percentile of 11%
The remaining qualifiers were: Gary Moriarty - 12th Percentile Brenton Searle - 12th Percentile Mark Baker - 23rd Percentile Greg Kelleher - 32nd Percentile India Searle - 48th Percentile Steve Hopkins - 51st Percentile David Lucas - 51st Percentile Tony Cotton - 60th Percentile Guy Sheppard - 77th Percentile
The Cancon Results were what tipped me over the edge - the percentile placing (position/number of competitor) was more granular with nearly twice as many entrants for at Cancon compared to the other events.
So the 2018/19 circuit is over - the next circuit begins in May so get the lead out, paint it and play DBA.
Cheers
