Hoffmannsama, Re my Han 25mm, I did three DBA armies using mainly Irregular Miniatures who still do army packs at discounted prices (as well as unit packs) and in those days (version 1.1 DBA!!) they did DBA armies too. See Imperial Chinese under 25mm tab at irregularminiatures.co.uk/ Many of their 25mm ranges were re-sized to 28mm so if you want 25mm you need to check if they are 25mm or 28mm (See comment below re photos) now despite their use of both tabs some armies are only available in 28mm now (although they often have the older 25mm moulds and are usually willing to cast from them too). There are several photos of their Han figures under this tab mainly of the newer 28mm I think as I think only images credited to me are the old 25mm Han figures!! They do a 100 man (usually man = foot figure but check as in past it could mean half a cavalry figure!) for £104.50p inc UK P&P but probably excluding 20% VAT which they now have to charge / collect. Again check with them. Their chariots were very good, but need to ask them about if they do unit packs of heavy Han chariots, (see Y12A and Y12B in lists) four horse and three crew, as these are not listed in bargain unit packs. Nor are their two horse Han chariots in unit lists (see Y13)!! They are usually very helpful if you phone but their busiest day tends to be Monday so probably not a good day to phone! CarlL

The start of 2022 will see the continuing conversion of my 6mm forces onto 60mm bases, including EAP, EIR, Republican and Marian Roman, Carthaginian, Spanish, Gallic and Dacian. No rush over this, so will drip feed it across the year. I’m not going to turn to any 15mm figures until Army Painter release their SpeedPaint range in February, as I think these will help move my 15mm technique on a pace and eager to experiment here. Got Thracian, Illyrian and a Goth conversion project lined up for this, which should fill the middle of the year nicely 😆 P As we move to the end of the year, it was interesting to look back on this thread and see whether I’d hit my aims or not. The 6mm conversion project has gone well, with the majority of the armies mentioned above now done. Only Dacians, Germans, Parthians and Sarmatians left to do and should complete by Spring time. The Goths and Illyrians are now sorted, with only Thracians to do on this list. Happy days…

Think a 6mm French DBN force is next on the cards, then finally finish basing the 15mm Roman's.

A good idea; paulisperI hoped retirement would allow me to paint 1 army a month and planned accordingly 11 months later I’m 6 armies done as painting the house took priority much bigger brushes and no speed paints!. So 50% achievement rate. On the plus side I got to use my armies in tournament play against some great players so that more than balances out in my book. Must try harder in 2023

Must try harder in 2023 6 completed armies is still good! (I’ve seen your paintwork, and it wasn’t by any means a ‘rush job’….👍🏼. Very nice Khazars, eg). And they’ve been used, so top result ✔️
