The scale difference between DBA and DBMM is why there is extensive rear support in the latter.
Adding all of this rear support to DBA is, particularly when considering it for BBDBA, essentially making DBA DBMM 'lite.'
Or DBM as it had less of the grading and other factors that add complexity to DBMM.
It does save one the cost of buying another set of rules and the 4 army list books, but doesn't have the point system to allow for balancing armies.
Due to the difference in scale, DBMM\DBM also allows rear support for ranged combat - might as well add that in as well...

I don't think that's out of the question though. Many of the house rules here are taking pieces of DBMM and inserting them into DBA for some extra flavor, without hopefully messing up the game. There's all kinds of house rules for Superior/Inferior gradings, weather, strategems etc. I think DBMM has some great ideas, but if you wanted to play with ALL the rules, it gets really complicated fast. DBA is still really simple, so 1-2 of these options can add extra spice.
