In one weeks time the Nashville Leg of the GBnUIT will be in he history books, and I am sure your children's children will be reading about it in their history books! And if not, I suspect they should!
It is being held at the Belle Mead office building, 2nd floor at noon. Loaner armies will be available. Theme - Land of Giants, requiring a theme army to include at least one Behemoth. Theme armies are not required.

The 2018 Bakwell/Derbyshire Leg of the GBnUIT Tournament will be held Saturday 22 September with a 1030 start, Bakewell Derbyshire. Simon Wilson is the Leg Coordinator and can provide any details. Post questions here and we'll answer them or Sion will get in touch with you.
The theme this year is Land of Giants, making a theme army one that has at least one Behemoth element. However, theme armies are not required to join in.
Hoe to see you there!!!

I am happy to announce that the 2018 Nashville area 2018 GBnUIT HOTT Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, October 27th, and will be held in the Truxton Building in the Belle Mead area of Nashville starting at noon.
This years theme is Land of Giants with a theme army being required to have at least one Behemoth element. Theme armies are not required to join in, and loaner armies can be made available. As written HOTT rules apply for this leg.
There are ten other Legs of the tournament being played around the world, and when I have a little more time I will list those locations and the Leg Coordinators who run each Leg.
The Bakewell Leg will be held Saturday, September 22nd. Simon Wilson is the Leg Coordinator for that one.
Stay tuned for more info to follow re this international event.

Martin, first off, love the various camps/strongholds., and especially the Boer laager as others have already mentioned.
Yes, as I recall skirmishers can be played one of two ways. First like Lurkers in HOTT and so can only deploy on bad going, or second as Psiloi as in DBA, only on a deeper base. Neither are allowed ranged fire. The idea behind them is to annoy an enemy, and not really cause significant casualties....unless they are VEEEEEERY lucky!
Loved reading about your games and happy to hear you are enjoying the rules.

Yes, there is a leg held in Sydney, run by Victor Jarmusz. However, anybody willing to gather as few as 4 players can create a Leg as there si not much involved. If interested, please let me know.

I was a big HITT fan, and always enjoyed the games I played. However, have moved back to HOTT as my primary rules to play and am thinking of selling my late war Germans and French. If anyone is interested I would be looking for a fair price, and happy to share pictures.

We play it using DBA-HX written to 2.2 but have added the attrition system from DBN. That makes for a fine game for us. It also includes army lists.

I love HOTT, but play it as written with using 100 paces + 1 inch, on a 24 x 24 board. Makes for a fast , fun game. I personally don't see the need to change it, but that's why we have chocolate and vanilla. So why not give several versions a try and see which suits you the best.
