Looks like a great event again, unfortunately to have been missed. Some great photos going around. Will keep eyes open for winter event. Peter. It's on 2nd December. Details of the theme are on the PAWS website. I can't find it on there and need to know :/ Need to get a new army for it

Early 'heads up':- ALTON DBA MATCHED PAIRS, 2018......... PRIZES include a painted DBA army. Would that be a Philistine army, Martin? It could be worse, it could have been an 8 Psiloi andalusian force someone decided to take...

Currently reading The Revolt of Owyn Glyndwr by R.R Davies and The Age of Conquest; Wales 1063-1415 by the same author. Also the Nevilles of Middleham by K.L Clarke.
Oh and Scottish Battles by John Sadler, but focusing on the medieval side of things in that.

I have a wee bit of a problem (other than still painting my army) I left my camp at my nans when I moved and my replacement has not arrived in time, could I borrow a spare if possible please tomorrow? Going to try to get there a bit early as well just so I am not rushing around.

Hope to see you there 👍 One word of warning....if you drive, sometimes the Eastern coast road to the venue gets clogged up, especially if Portsmouth FC are playing (/disappointing their fans) at home. If you're Winchester way, maybe we could play sometime. Martin (Peoples Republic of Alton, in the Land of Jane Austen) Definitely love to get some games in outside tournaments, the uni has a wargaming society but they only play gw games which i moved away from years and years ago now. I'll be coming by train, never learnt to drive as from London originally and now a uni student so can't afford it with seeing my kids every weekend (3/4 anyway)

What could possibly make you think I am taking Andalusians Cheers Denis, thats good to know about the terrain as if I am honest, I don't think I will have time at the moment to make mine as lectures start next week and it is entirely possible I may have my spearmen and all my cavalry units still to paint... I shall see if my housemate fancies a trip to see her family as she is from Fratton, might make it a bit easier for me as I only really know the city centre and Gunwharf.

Hi chaps,
hopefully I should be down for this, just got a couple of questions. Elements are fixed? So the same 12 all day? Also do we need to bring terrain? And also, I am new to DBA and finding it hard to get games so technically haven't played as such, will this matter at all, I understand the rules for the most part, just a couple of little bits that are confusing me through reading them and normally pick things up really quickly once I am playing something.
Finally, what station is closest to the venue? I'll be travelling from Winchester so any help with what station would be appreciated!
Many thanks Oli
