Thanks for making these available via Baueda. Really appreciate it. The addition of the Early Hebrews fills a void. No such range was previously available (except perhaps one by Venexia, which I think is OOP). Oh, and the Hittites look pretty spiff too.

I seem to be encountering technical difficulties. From the Baueda FB page, when I click on the link for "Early Hebrews" I get...Goths. --Anybody else having this issue? Maybe they'll get it fixed shortly.

Mazel Tov, Ken. Really outstanding rendition of the Khagenwagen. Well done!
The CP (Gen) is almost useless, in game terms, now that it can no longer shoot. It can, at least, lend side-support to the Royal Guard (Spear) element. Who cares (right?), if it looks gorgeous!

The Khagen has a new ride. If you've bought (or looked at) Khurasan's Khazar range, you know it doesn't include a Khagenwagen. Khurasan notes that its use was dubious at best, historically, and that such models are understandably not cost-effective to produce. Customers "might" each buy one. Since no 3D-printer whizz has filled the void with mass-produced Khagenwagens, I resolved to scratch-build a CP Gen element last night. Fueled by a nice glass of wine and using the depiction shown at 9:01 into this You Tube documentary on the Khazars, here's what I came up with. Two Khurasan Royal Guard spearmen will stand behind the "Bek Buggy", as I'm calling it. A Jewish rabbi (Xyston) and musician, blowing the Shofar, flank the model, left and right. I didn't attempt the "skulls on spears" motif shown in the animation and mentioned in accounts. Couldn't think of a way to model that, and kinda morbid anyway. Instead, used a pair of standards from Khurasan's command pack.

Ah, the Commagenes, one of my fave armies that I don't (yet) own. What figure range(s) did you use? Stunning bannner. What's the story there? Who's the Big Shot depicted on the Labarum?

A belated "Nice one" for paulhannah Mikes Models, Hatrenes. (All looked very Palmyran to me which show you just how out of date is my knowledge of DBA army lists). Thanks. Yes, certainly many similarities between Hatrenes (below) and Palmyrans. I crafted my Hatrenes from Mikes Models' Parthian range, with one exception: The Solid Blades are Praetorians from MM Aurelianic Roman range --but, shhh, don't tell anyone! Mikes Models made a separate range of Palmyrans (not shown); they were one of the first armies I ever painted, circa 1982, and still see action regularly.

Have fun! Which figure range(s) are you using for your Southern Dynasty, and any details about the WWg?

Paul did you replace the spears for the banner bearers? Yes, I swapped them out, using a couple extra cavalry lances, since they were a little longer. (And thicker too, I can see now in the pics.) As an aside, I had thought I could scratch-build a CWg wagon, based on the image seen at about 9:01 in this video animation. Nope, I think that's beyond my abilities. Looks cool, though.

First two elements, the Solid Hordes, of a III/16 Khazar army. From Khurasan Miniatures's outstanding Khazar range. (Bases still unflocked. Banners will be added later.) Of course the camera brings out all the warts, right? Note the gray lips on flag-dude on the left-hand element. He's either severely frostbitten or suffering from arsenic poisoning. Or both. (Gotta fix that!)

I optimistically fantasize that the NOG (Nephews of Giuseppe) will announce they're releasing a brand new range of [insert exotic Ancients range here] that Giuseppe had sculpted shortly before his death.
So, let's have some fun here: What would might such a range be?

Today, I sent an email to legio@legio-heroica.com. As dormant as the Legio Heroica website has been this past year, I rather doubt any of the "Nephews of Giuseppe" are checking that email, but it can't hurt to try.

There are a few items in your nomenclature I don't understand. What do "Pa" or "Pj" stand for? --I dare not guess at the workings of the Mind of Stevie, but perhaps Pa = Psiloi Archer and Pj = Psiloi Javelinmen?
Looking forward to perusing this more. Lotsa good stuff here, as usual.
