Hi everybody, have a look at my attachments. A group of pikes and psiloi ... wheeling left ... and wheeling right. Cheers, Ronald.

Hi everybody,
I also play it the way, "A" and "B" are groups for me.
So, thank you for your comments.
Cheers, Ronald.

Hi gaelyann,
could you explain why?
What, if your opponent plays correctly (conforming to the rules), like version "A"?
Cheers, Ronald.

Hi everybody, take a look at the picture attached, please. Mr. Barker tells in the rules section of DBA 3.0, that mutual side to side contact and corner-to-corner contact is required to be part of a group. So the element of LH would be part of the group in position "A" and "B". But in the schemata section of DBA 3.0, he tells that mutual side-to-side and front-corner-to- front-corner contact is required to be part of a group!? So the element of LH would only be part of the group in position "B" and not in "A". How do you play it? Cheers, Ronald.

Hi guys,
just for 'clearness' and 'going back to the roots'. The question: 'Can your Auxilia do this?' Answer: By being in the Thread Zone of the LH (none of you did mention that - didn't you?), the Ax 'has to' move in contact or moving closer to the LH! The only alternative would be straight back out of the TZ!
Cheers, Ronald.

Here is another what if that has been troubling me. What if that element at the upper right joined the element in front contact with the LH. Now LH is contacted by a group, and must conform to the group. The general question is, does the group need to make the initial contact, or once a group forms, does the contacted element conform. Hi 'bob', the rules say:"Conversely, a group or single element can move to join other elements and make its next move as a group including these." So, the LH is contacted by a single Ax ... the second Ax moves in overlap position ... the two Ax are no group yet (!). In the next bound, they can be formed and moved as a group! Cheers, Ronald.

Hello Haardrada, you said: Now in the 3.0 combat system they cannot be overlapped
PS are not overlapped only in front-corner to front-corner contact (!) ... they still get overlapped when in mutual flank contact !
