Tony, those knights look great, the DsBs (can't translate or I'd be doghoused!) if you ask me. How did you get that effect on the armour. Mine just comes out looking like silver - i.e. too shiny.

Been re-watching some of the videos and one of the tips that I've picked up is that you don't need to be side by side with another friendly element in order to stop an enemy from closing the door. You only need to be close enough so that an enemy 'door closer' would stray into your TZ. I haven't done the geometry but I suspect that you can be up to 80mm away from the front corner of the friend you want to support. Thanks to Tony, Mitch and Luke for that.

Tony, I've watched - and enjoyed and been educated by - the Tibetans, the Picts and the Hittites. Looking forward to watching the Numidians later. You and Mitch and Luke and the others who've appeared do a great service to the DBA community, long may you continue. Like the Tibetans, I have a Parthian army which has a lot of 4Kn and I like that this forces me to be aggressive and take the initiative.

Belated many thanks to all involved in organising the comp. Thanks also to all my opponents. Looking forward to the next one.

A while ago there was some debate about shooting priorities but I'm not sure if it was ever resolved finally. For this competition will the priorities be: first - any enemy in shooters TZ; second - any enemy shooting at shooters; third - any other target that is in range and in arc of the shooters.

Macbeth and Martin - thanks for your helpful responses. I suspect that the 2.2 rule was lurking in the dark recesses of my memory and that is what made me ask the question. Sometimes it can be unhelpful to have played a lot of 2.2.

Apart from the stuff made for aquaria, are there any other sources of Great Wall of China models. Ideally to match 15mm but 10mm would also work.

Suppose there is a 4Ax element which is just exiting some bad going. The rear 10mm of its base is still in the bad going but the front 10mm is in good going. If it is contacted to its front by an attacker which is entirely in good going, does the combat take place in bad going or good going? I ask because the rules say that if part of an element is in good going but the rest is in some other going then the whole element counts as being in the other going. On the other hand, the attacking element is entirely in good going - or is that irrelevant?

In the UK, on Discovery Sc+1 at midnight they are showing a programme called How Its Made which features, among other things, how the Perry brothers make their metal and plastic figures. Fascinating to watch how the masters - both metal and plastic - are made and cast.

That's way too much information Baldie. Now I'm stuck with a horrible image that I can't shake off!

Tony, full marks for the knights - you've really done a splendid job on the horse barding. They really are the DsBs - a UK term which I cannot elaborate upon for fear of being censored! Rest assured, however, that it means the knights are top quality.
