Sounds like a great weekend. I've registered too. Subject to a very possible change of mind, I reckon I might go with I/58 Meroitic Kushite for 'Elephants in the Room' comp and II/5f Phokian for 'Art for Art's Sake'.
Look forward to seeing old friends there. Cheers Mark

Time to get on your High Horse!
On the 19th of March, I'll be running a themed v3 DBA competition, celebrating all things big, bad and armour-plated.
Participants can bring along any army that includes at least 4 Knight elements (3Kn, 4Kn, 6Kn or HCh). No dismounting of Knights. Allies allowed. The scoring system, as in previous comps, will reward ‘impetuous’ types for every extra Knight element (beyond the mandatory four) they run.
The venue is the Goulburn Workers Club so handy for both Canberra and Sydney players. Commencement time is 10am.
Registrations or queries can be directed to me at mark@brandon-baker.com.au
Cheers Mark

And...small thing.....I/14c should read 'European Iron Age Army 700BC-315BC', rather than Bronze Age. Again, a wonderful resource and sincere thanks to Mark.

Thanks for running another great comp, Dave. Not sure what we'd all do if you weren't prepared to put the time into organising them. Not my finest hour personally but always fun to catch up with everyone.

And with Gregorius' registration we've reached 11 entrants, with several promises to register soon and other probables considering their options. So far so good. Spitz, that's a good number considering how far out we still are!

Yes, indeed....the work Gregorius put into organising the comp - particularly the set piece battles was extraordinary. Many thanks, mate.

Good to have you with us Gentlemen - we have three entries already and I've barely started promoting. It will be 5 rounds owing to the club opening at 11:00am - you'll just have to make them 5 quality rounds Cheers Thanks Dave....always try for quality....but the dice sometimes don't share the same aspiration!

Just a reminder the traditional 'Festival of Meat' is being held on the Saturday night. 6 for 6.30pm at the Gymea Tradies Club. $60 per person.
I need to confirm numbers by this Tuesday (20th Sept) at the latest. Please email me on mbaker@tgpublic.com.au if you want to be included. I've already had some acceptances and apologies - ignore this 'prompt' if you've already let me know.
Cheers Mark

As others have said, Burgundian Ordannance. I've been playing it lately.....a brilliant little army. Surprisingly tough considering it has 8 shooters.....the 8Lb with a combat factor of 4 against foot is brilliant. And when the 2 Art work...they really work!!
