I'm about to embark on my first attempt at painting 15mm camels for my Rajputs. I use GW, Tamiya and Vallejo acrylics. Can anyone recommend the best colours to paint camels from the ranges that I use? Cheers, Greg, I thought that ''white'' camels were mainly used for military purposes....not true white obviously but very light. The Tuaregs favoured them and even the Australian Camel Corps in WWI sought them out. Cheers M

Ok....I'm happy to confirm on Day 1, I'll be using II/22C Hatra - and taking 4 Psiloi in it. Still pondering the Day 2 army.

Yep, a thoroughly enjoyable day...thank you David. I'm really taken by v3. It bringing people back to the game in good numbers and encouraging them to use interesting offbeat armies. See you all at Cancon....I think I will stick to Psiloi heavy (I think that's an oxymoron but ok...) armies for a while. Great fun.

Traditions matter, Greg! Saturday, you get the honour of blowing on the paint till it dries!

The Wallachians, under Vlad Dracul, should (hopefully) be based and making their debut. Their camp may not finished (do you know how hard it is to convert figures into impaled corpses!!) but I'll post a photo when it is. Working on the marshes for the 5 x Ps to lurk in.

Sincere congratulations to Steve for organising another great comp. The historical pairs format really works well and the traditional campaign on the Sunday is always enjoyable. And thanks to all my opponents for some great games...don't think I had to open the rule book all weekend. That's the great thing about DBA....no rule mongering and as a result, attracts really nice people.
Cheers, Mark

DBA v2.2 is now up to nine for Saturday and thirteen for Sunday. Still a few days to get a last minute registration in. A great result!! A DBA comp in Sydney with over 20 people (albeit spread between v2.2 and v3) hasn't happened for a while.......well done.

Anyone else happy to declare the matched pair they're bringing - I'm going with Parthians vs Late Seleucid.
