This time the Spanish take on the Islamic Berbers. I take it its an error in the book , that the III/ 75 IB's have IV/68e Spanish as an enemy , but not the other way round ?

Another great trio of videos Tony. You turned around your Athenian snotting to 2 great wins. Though I thought that Mitch was going to prevail with the Visigoths.
Cheers,

Interesting take on the lack of side support for the Sp in this game at one point - I would rule this the other way, as the combat is occurring in good going, even if some of the Sp is in the rough going. P.

P. When we don't know which way to go we go with the conservative ruling because that one is always allowed. Also, rear support works this same way - they both must be in GG. We didn't particularly care which way it went as long as we are consistent, which is pretty much our M.O. with our group. Luckily, if I remember correctly, it did not affect the combat results either way. I haven't posted this question on any of the boards/sites yet because it is too frickin' busy at work.

Tony - “fricking busy at work” or not. Thanks for taking the time to post the latest 3 - even if they were all very short and violent affairs. Really good stuff and a fantastic showcase for the rules. One day can you do a Masterclass on hw you do the filming and editing to such high standards. My favourite was Visigoths vs Rome - nice to see such a contrast in fighting styles and felt it could have gone either way. But also good to see Hoplites in action.
Thanks. Paddy

Agreed, but the difference here is that rear support is clearly stated as 'both are in good going'. This isn't stated in the flank support section, only 'when in frontal close combat in good going'. I always take our good friend, Phil, at his word P.

When will the English version of these rules come out? I predict in around a decade, when PB shuffles off this mortal coil and his legacy is passed onto another group to drive it forward. That's when it'll come screaming into the modern world. Until then... enjoy the grammatical struggles P.
