My Magister Militum Sea people figs came today and I've mixed them on their temporary bases with the Essex figures to see how they fit in. I can honestly say they have done the trick and the MM and Essex mix I have now exceeds what I was hoping for....can't wait to see them painted. As I plan on doing the same, any photo possible ? About the essex references, some have mixed poses and some don't, is that right ? Hi gaelyann, I'd love to post pictures but I have not mastered how to do it yet sorry. The Essex Sea Peoples unfortunately do not have variable poses in the same pack and the command pack contains both Sherden and Peleset Generals. You do have a choice of pose but in different packs (2 Peleset and 3 Sherden) some armoured and some unarmoured. This is initially what I ordered but I personally found the variance of poses within the army to be too limited for what I wanted, with only the General figures depicted with swords. I chose to add Magister Militum Sea people packs of 4 swordsmen (Sherden and Peleset) and received up to 2-3 different poses within the 4 figure packs which I feel mixed with the essex figures to give the variance of animated poses I wanted to represent.I also added some MM long headdress figures (sheklesh) as an option instead of using Sherden or Peleset and some female water-carriers to the Ox-cart camp element. Both the Essex and Magister Militum sites show images of the painted figures. Now I can't wait to get the army painted.😊

Sent off a wee order to Eureka in OZ for a handful of figures to bring my III/36 Nan-Chao army into Purple compliance, along with a few minor, "basing heresies".

Ordered the army of "Big Bill", a III/52 West Frankish & Norman Army from Khurasan Miniatures. Notable about this order was that I planned and placed it online right from my airplane seat, somewhere over Montana, as I flew home to Seattle from Maryland yesterday. That's a first for me. (Remember when one used to fill out order-forms to mail in?)

I just purchased another box of Perry's European Mercenaries 1450-1500... because I am weak. Do I really need any more Burgundians? Really? Joe Collins

Spartans and Later Achaemenid Persians recently arrived from Xyston.

Picked up a feudal English army from Essex in case I can go to Petes tournament next year. Just because I might be able to go and it's an excuse to buy more figures. Currently writing an essay about whether William won the kingdom of England or Harold lost it, motivated me to get some Norman's from baueda. Basically I'll use any excuse to get more figures and the fact I'm not a typical student and rarely drink means I have a fair amount of spare cash which if not spent on my kids, gets spent on even more tin men to think about possibly painting one day

Picked up quite a few DBA 2 armies from Mike Sanderson last month. Homemade and the figure selection is a a bit interesting (may rearrange them a bit) but the prices were too good to pass up.
Have quite a bit of painting ahead of me after I bring them up to 3.0 compliance.

I just ordered the new Saxon range from Legio Heroica. I love his stuff and new lead is always a good thing.

As might have been noted on the bazaar posts, I picked up David Crenshaw's Splintered Light Normans. I have a number of Normans from other manufacturers, but at the price asked I decided to add them to the lot.
Having miniatures from various manufacturers in the collection gives me a feeling for the history of and state of the hobby.
Nice looking minis vodnik. Did you find a source for your Sarmatians?
Haardrada - if you can figure out how to post a picture it would be nice to see those Naismith Tibetans as there are no pictures on his website. I would like some dismounted cataphracts down the road.
