Not a question of whose buying what but who is finding what.....whilst clearing out my garage I found an old tool box full of armies I toyed with back in the 1980s.Aside from some Tibetans from a manufacturer I can't remember I found some old Minifig Catapults, some Alan's,Macedonians and 2 Seleucid Elephants. But the main prize was a heap of Mike's models Chinese...spearmen,halbardiers,archers and Crossbowmen, etc.
On reckoning I can easily now put together a III/20b Sui army.🙂

Put in an order for Forged in Battle Early & Later Carthaginian, on the back of some freebie packs at Hammerhead. The Els have been part of the SpeedPaint trial and Numidian LH are up next…

I've just pieced together a III/49 Tulunid or Iqshidid army from Museum,Essex & Outpost Enterprises figures....I can't believe there were only three players who took part in the Great DBA census owned the army....now there are four?

I should be receiving an order from Baueda later this week.
Three packs will finish the spearmen for the III/35b Feudal Spanish and enough packs for one command of III/73a Italian Communal.
More opponents for the Norman or Western Franks.

I believe D. Nicolle mentions the presence of script on Muslim flags appearing by the 9th century. The flag’s ground colour of green/blue was meant to separate the collection from their Abbasid overseers, who favoured black.

They're renovating my apartment is September, so I've got to pack up all my stough and move out for a week. Ergo, didn't get much at H'con - some 25mm Arab LH commanders in the flea market, and 11 Crusader packs from the dealer who was selling them out, mainly dark age Celts and Spaniards
Hope to be able to take some pics of units finished over this summer, before the chaos gets too pressing.

I am determined not to buy anything until 2023. Instead, I'm going to try and reduce the lead mountain.

I am determined not to buy anything until 2023. Instead, I'm going to try and reduce the lead mountain. Best of luck with that. I have just ordered some Xyston figures for an eventual Pyrrhic army, following paulspier's example last year. I have arranged to collect them at Britcon on Saturday. I suspect there may also be some impulse purchases on the day.
