I am determined not to buy anything until 2023. Instead, I'm going to try and reduce the lead mountain. Just one wafer thin army

I have just ordered some Xyston figures for an eventual Pyrrhic army, following paulspier's example last year. I have arranged to collect them at Britcon on Saturday. I suspect there may also be some impulse purchases on the day. Xyston and metal Corvus Belli figs are by far my faves

For medieval, I’d go Legio Heroica (although since Giuseppe’ passing, it looks like ordering them is a tricky business) and Mirliton and for Ancients, Forged in Battle (Yeh, I know pack sizes are a pain for DBA), Baueda (sadly, limited in range) and Khurasan (sadly, a nightmare getting them from the US). Just bought some terrain pieces from ‘twoshedsFred’. Found him on eBay but he can also be contacted via Facebook or email. I should say I have no affiliation to his business but the products are excellent value for money. I got 2 ploughed fields, 2 marshes and 2 paddy fields for £21 including postage. Each piece was approx 15cm x 9cm and low profile enough so that figures can easily stand up without falling over. I feel he will make items of any size you want to order. Arrived quickly and he’s happy to discuss your requirements so definitely worth a look.
For those not wishing to use eBay or not having Facebook (e.g. Me) he can be contacted at twoshedsfred@outlook.com. Sorry I can’t post pictures but have a look on eBay for a better idea.

My first two armies done, i still have some figs in stock, and i would like to re use them in others army. Could you help me to find ideas ?
First i have 2 carthaginian generals from Museum Miniatures: Do you think i could use them in some of the ancient spanishes army i want to make ? I think Carthage influenced a lot the penisula, but it's maybe to much. If you think i can, which armies (Iberian, Celtiberian, Lusitanian) could make the best use of it ? Or maybe you have others ideas ?
I also own 2 roman general more than needed. I don't have picture now, but it's a quite classic roman general, bare head, with something like a scepter in the right hand. I think it could hardly figure an ancient spanish general. Maybe a numidian one, as i also plan this army later ? Others ideas ?
I have then 4 cavalry, 2 with shield, 2 without. I don't have to picture of those with shield, but they look quite similar to the one without:
Without shield, the may figure some light cavalry, but maybe not in the peninsula, cuz it specified "round shield) on the list. But maybe this is no more very historically accurate. With the shield they may instead be use as cavalry body guard for one of my general.
I still have some others, but as i don't want to make a 4 pages message, i'll keep them for a later question ;-)

Making use of the voucher that I won at David Lawrence's Landwaster tournament I've ordered a batch of Eureka Miniatures' Almughavars. I'll be collecting them at CANCON next month.
Cheers,

Took hold of a large quantity of second hand Legio Heroica Crusader and Muslim figures a couple of weeks ago, in various stages of painting.
This is going to be a lot of fun working through next year and I’ll be keeping some for my own DBA armies and selling off others… 😁

Just bought some 28mm Gripping Beast plastic Dark Age Welsh for Lion Rampant. Also looking at the Tumbling Dice 1/600 jets to play Instant Thunder with!

Khurusan have now released some Pulp Adventure figures that I must have, but in addition the Chatti range would make an excellent DBA Early German
And I still have a wishlist of Mr Khurusan's ranges in DBA Sized bites.
I can foresee another collective order going out in early 2023 to lighten the postage burden.
Pity there isn't a retail outlet here in Oz so that I could point Wf(X) and the (not so) Little Warbands towards the stuff I NEED when they ask for gift suggestions
Cheers

I have not bought any metal for nearly two years as I wanted to get stuck into what I already have to do...but as a reward for just completing another army (and my Birthday)..I've ordered a Book I/32(b)c Spring & Autumn Chinese army.
Yes it's another Asian army...but I like them so there!😁
