Have just ordered a Napoleonic 15mm Russian army for the grand total of £18 for 120ish piece army. Going to try DBN. Will also see what tomorrow's Warfare 21 show at Ascot racecourse will bring! Simon I was disappointed by the lack of DBA vendors at Warfare and only bought a Norman army from FiB. However, I spent a time with friends playing 10mm ACW recreation of Stone River and the team placed second for the demo game - so a good weekend!

All in… P How many bottles in the mega set bachelor Paul? Cheers, It’s 24 bottles - not what I’d describe, personally, as a ‘mega set’, but enough to feel you have a broad enough range to give it a good go 😁 there needs to be at least another skin tone, a lighter grey and one or two more green/yellow/brown shades for me for it to feel more complete as a range. I presume they’ll work up to that in the fullness of time P

After some scrambled communications with the USPS, received my Russian-Orthodox-Christmas present to myself (actually requested delayed shipping so wouldn't get lost in December rush). 3 and 1/2 boxes, Gripping Beast 28mm plastics, now have nearly all figures for 'Dark Ages Morphable Generic Western European and Arab Armies'.
So, am aiming to paint Arabs and Visigoths, refight Battle of Guadelete, 711, by Historicon 2023 ...
With other stuf on workbench, won't bet whether 'twill be in 25 or 15, tho.
Anyway, purchased these figures from Joseph P. Kelly, who advertises as joes_shop@yahoo.com, in the 'For Sale' column of TheMiniaturesPage.com Have dealt with him several times, he's reliable and honest, recommended.

Inspired by a comment by "elliesdad" on another thread about Tin Soldier Miniatures, I wandered over to their site. I've never painted any of their figures. The pics on their site looked okay, but none of the ranges piqued my interest...until I saw their Abyssinians. Passing on the rifle-armed figures, of course, I ordered figures for II/62b Abyssinians. Seems a LH (Gen) element with a couple of these figures would be rather exotic looking. Only problem: A paucity of opponents. Anyone make Christian Nubians? --Yeah, didn't think so.

Paul - Fighting15s also make Abyssinians in their (ex-Gladiator Games) Colonial range. They should add some variety: fighting15s.com/product-category/gladiator-miniatures/colonials/?v=79cba1185463Good luck, Geoff

While at the Great Unwashed tournament I was able to collect my portion of the 2nd great Khurusan purchase from down under. My haul included figures to bring my post Mongol Russians up to code, a packet of elephant baggage carriers and a single Bd figure for the Korean 4Bd element. Also picked up were some figures for an oriental baggage element, bought from Macbeth, and some 40mmx40mm bases and a pot of Cote d'Arms Desert Sand.
Cheers,
