Early advice that I'll be running the annual themed DBA comp at the Goulburn Workers Club on Sunday the 24th of March 2024.
The 2024 theme is 'Just Deserts'.....focused on armies that were hot, sweaty and in desperate need of SPF 50+ sun protection. So players will need to bring along an army that has 'Dry' as its terrain type. Allies are allowed as long as the main army is 'Dry'.
Thanks to Peter Spitz's fine work, I have a list of eligible armies available - send me a quick email at mark@brandon-baker.com.au if you'd like a copy.
I'll invite registrations a little closer to the day but thought I should let people know the date and theme as early as possible.
Cheers Mark

My sons of the desert will be pounding across the dunes to Goulburn. And will "Midnight at the Oasis" be included in the background playlist 🐪 ? Cheers,

Oh I was very keen on this. I have me some fine Dry terrain armies. BUT the mere mention of "Midnight at the Oasis" has me twitching and re-thinking my plans ....

To be honest I think we need Cromwell on a task like this.

Now to see if Rose will play this time. James is already practising. He might want to borrow a Blemmye and Nobades army.
I might make some dunes and an oasis.

Ain't Nobades loves me better/than you.
Make sure you get one of the later versions (the ones that have discovered the camel).

First entry has arrived!! And because this is a 'dry' comp, then irony demands I reward that person, not with the traditional chocolate frog, but with a beer of his choosing on the day!
