Don’t give up on your Giant Radioactive Ants Brian! If you’re an ant short, then try this:- A very early black-and-white episode of Doctor Who had ‘The Zarbi’ as opponents. (See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Doctor_Who_universe_creatures_and_aliens_(Q%E2%80%93Z)#Z ). These had a few woodlouse-like venom spitting grubs, known as ‘larvae guns’, i.e. white-ish maggots made out of milliput...HoTT Shooters @ 2 AP each. These would make up for the missing ants.

That's a good one! Well, in fact my ants do not progress, because I find them a bit too small. They would be right for 15mm but for 28mm...

But nearly all of my dinos are based by now. Just a bit of model water missing...

My Monster Archaeopteryx (fl) taking off. And the bushes and trees/plants once were some cheap (edit: and extraordinarily ugly) plastic flowers. The stronghold rock to the left is old deco of my aquarium.

“ When Dinosaurs Ruled the Wargames Table”. Loverly. As for your ant problem (!), I used these → link(after cutting off their spikes and adding cardboard jaws). Here is a picture showing their size compared to 15mm DBA Psiloi:-

Imagine being under that when it flies over you… …I have enough trouble on my car from seagulls…

Imagine being under that when it flies over you… …I have enough trouble on my car from seagulls… For a short moment I really wondered if I should decorate the rock with some feces. But it would have contradicted the title of this thread.

A short time ago I bought a package of tiny plastic soldiers which came along with three jeeps, two tanks and even an aircraft!
So at astonishing low costs (€ 3.99) I suddenly had 99% of a HUMAN HoTT army which will be the appropriate antagonist to my Tarantulae! and Them! Radioactive giant ants armies.
Usually I skip the painting, and especially the basing of the infantry – 8 (!) hordes, whose "bullets keep bouncing of 'em, sir!" – was great fun. 5 different poses of infantry arranging in different vivid scenes is puzzling work...
The only thing still missing is the stronghold, a flat concrete bunker in the desert. Pictures will follow.
