Not decided on that.
We have - so far - tried Dragon Rampant (OK-ish game, but big skirmish is not what we want), Fantasy Rules! (too chaotic, too much weird stuff), Fantastic Battles (my gaming partners favourite so far; I am not convinced), A Game of Knights and Knaves (neither of us is convinced), Kings of War (we both liked it OK, but no real enthusiasm sparked. And we both found the number of dice too much) and DBA with fantasy armies (which is my favourite so far). Tonight will be Warband. And then possibly Sword and Spear Fantasy. And maybe the Triumph fantasy rules; but probably not, since my gaming partner is not fond of DBx fantasy gaming. I would like to re-try Warmaster as well, but that will not happen, since there is no way we can regularly use a six-by-four monster of a table. And Warmaster really needs at least that, a bit bigger would not hurt.

Good luck with the search I look forward to seeing what you choose, had a discussion over the weekend re 6mm WFB or KOW as seen on internet. In the 90s I was sailing the seven seas and bought some 6mm Orcs and Humans to fight ^warhammer as space was limited.

Warband was surprisingly fun. A bit rough, but that might wear off with practice. The motivation system led to quite a few amusing moments. Combat seemed a bit slow, but that might be our lack of knowledge on what is effective. I might play again.

Maybe kind of off topic, but nevertheless miniatures rules: GASLANDS by Mike Hutchinson. (Because it gives me the pleasure to play again with matchbox cars... )

(Because it gives me the pleasure to play again with matchbox cars... ) I was super excited about this game a few years ago until I found out it has plenty of loose ends similar to other games. IT IS A FUN GAME THOUGH, just not something I want to be responsible to run. I decided to double down going back to WW2 skirmish games that I have more control over.

Do you mean that it has lots of unclear rules? That is, indeed, a problem with many rules. And one of the reasons why the search for a good set of versatile fantasy rules for my gaming goes on.
