I’ve been away from gaming of any kind for quite awhile, but recently been drawn back to it. I’ve made the hard choice to stick with only one rule set and one scale, DBA and 10mm. While I’ve been finishing my army, I’ve been looking around at what terrain is available and found there’s not a whole lot out there. I’m a solo gamer without a lot of free time or space, I need to be able to set up and take down quickly and store it easily. I’ve been working on this getting my technique figured out and would love to hear what you think about. There’s definitely room to improve and I have a lot more to add to it to make it a reasonably full set for DBA.

Welcome back and good choice of rules and scale, Ken 😁 Sweet looking terrain and all the best with its development. Do you have a copy of the solo rules?

Good luck with it, 10mm still makes me cringe but we are an open and inclusive community so each to their own.
If a decision had to be made to only ever play one game system it would def be DBA for me.

(although I haven’t quite solved the problem of sticking them onto card without the edges curling up... ...they are flatter and look better just as thin paper with no backing) The Terrain Tutor does a great youtube video on warping. Basically PVA (and other water based glues) and paper/card equals warping as the glue soaks in and then shrinks. Terrain Tutor WarpingHave you tried spray adhesive and a heavy book? I haven't used it much but online people seem to be happy that it doesn't warp. Another trick I've done with my caulk acrylic pieces is to paint the edge including just underneath the edge ground colour. Being very thin, the little lift is masked by the brown. Cheers Jim

Your terrain looks very good! I've been looking at a paper/card travel set for DBA. I found this publisher on wargames vault. Here's the link for interest: Geoff CurranThere's some interesting stuff here. Cheers Jim

I’ve made some headway and with luck will post some real world test prints in the near future.

If you cringe with 10mm how about my current projects 2mm Napoleonics, 2mm World war 2 and just ordered 2mm Saxons and Norman armies, I expect you just want to curl up and die! I use DBN for Napoleonics, Pz8 for WW2 and it will be DBA for the Normans and Saxons. Then, maybe, 2mm Punic Wars! With of course DBA.

Say it loud enough, say it long enough and people begin to believe you and then to reinforce the sincerity add "I would not have told you if it was not true!" As Abraham Lincoln said "You can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all of the time" He said that before one of the people shot him, possibly one of those fooled some of the time.

Back to the terrain!
I have in the past printed out and used terrain I found on Junior General web page. I used the woods from there for my woods and place trees on to it to give a 3D effect. Plus the trees can be moved to accommodate troops.

Found any handy resources since this post? Martin
