I dream of being able to get another packet of Corvus Belli Roman Heavy cav Perhaps this would be the "acid test"? am I correct in thinking Corvus Belli have stopped producing their ancients range in metal? I am pretty sure the majority of EIR armies from CB figures are less because they fitted in with any need for the army (tournament or campaign), and more because they were such lovely figures. How would the plastic version compare? Scott

Do not deal with Totenantz. They seem to be open/trading but in fact are totally non responsive. This is my experience as well as others if you read around on TMP.

Would be great if they could expand the CB range a bit, a few more options for the Romans especially commanders. Their Hundred years war range is also fabulous but needs expansion. I already have a great looking bunch of Xyston stuff for Punic war so there may be less market for that side of things.

I’ve had a really hard time trying to find Punic war romans that look like their CB opponents. Everyone keeps saying Xyston romans are too tall but the sculpts are great. FIB seem ok. A CB group of Punic romans would be amazing.

Greedo, If you are looking for Punic War Romans, Freikorp15, while older miniatures, they have a nice 15mm range from quickreactionforce.co.uk They are nice sculptures, metal and standard 15mm size, no scalecreep, I brought some but are yet to paint, and their Carthaginians are superb sculptures. Hmmmmm. I was looking forward to these but am not convinced.
On the plus side the entry costs for DBA have now come down to £35 - that’s all you need to fork out to get started....with reasonably chunky and large armies. So that’s good - especially if it gets more players into the hobby.
As for these examples.....meh! I’m not sold on Lurkio models in the first place so Lurkio in Ultracast are even less convincing. I would like to see Xyston in Ultracast before I comment further - so I’m holding final judgement.
So my money stays in my wallet - but for anyone wanting to try DBA on a budget These would get my recommend!
