Not really keen in having to buy in large numbers. If you have to buy pre-packaged armies that may or may not bear any relation to the army lists used by the rules that you intend to use it can more than offset lower prices per figure. I have many more Donnington (who sell by the individual figure) figures than I have figures from Lancashire Games, for instance. Once the figures are released, we need to form a consortium of sorts to share out the large packs into DBA armies.

Also they are going to do Corvus Belli 15mm Ancients and Medieval in plastic! Gawd I miss Corvus Belli. Their figs are just fantastic. Such as shame they went under. Yes I know they got bought by another company, but the only figs they have re-released are the imperial romans.. Good to know that PSC is doing ancients now though. I'm a big fan of their WW2 ranges. CB never went under, they just making historical stuff and concentrated on their sci-fi range

...i have a similar problem like Piyan Glupak. I like to select single miniatures from different manufacturers for a certain army...

I too like to mix figures from different manufacturers to get the look I want to the army. Buying the the individual figures from Donnington is an advantage as you can pre-determine the look of your army with very few left over figures which is economical.

OK - I’m confused. 🤨 Are these 4 boxes: LIR, Goths, Huns and Sassanids already Corvus Belli figures reproduced in plastic or are they different and we’ll be getting all the Corvus Belli ranges produced in plastic as well?
I really like the look of the PSC offering and at £30 - £35 for 128 inf or 64 cav (or mix thereof) they are very good value - especially if the boxes have a good mix of heavy and lights so that you can make a full DBA army, all options, from it......and from the look of it - 1 box per army that may be the case. However, if they miss bits then it’ be a case of finding compatible metals to fill the gaps. If Corvus Belli - which are the most compatible manufacturers? Either way it looks like this will allow us to collect an army for about half the price of metal - which can’t be bad. One thought on PSC as some of my WW2 are plastic - they lack the pleasing “heft” of metal. So much so that I melt down lead off cuts to add weights to PSC tanks so that they beef up a bit. For the figures it is steel bases with mm thin lead weights glued on to add the heft. Otherwise a gust of wind, or more often my regular opponents cat, can reset the battlefield.
I guess these will be released at Salute20 which is something to look forward to. Although that coincides with the launch of the Forged in Battle Dark Age figures - I was intending Norman, Saxon and Viking armies to build up my nook 3 credibility. So I might have to make a decision who gets my cash now! 🤔
P.S. If I do get any PSC then I’d be happy to send all/any unused sprues to a deserving home for the cost of the postage once the army is complete.

Paddy,
As far as I know, the LIR, Huns, Goths and Sassanids are a new range. (I don't think CB produced any of them.)
The old CB range included EIR, Ancient Brits/Gauls, Carthaginians, Numidians and Ancient Spanish, plus some Medieval figures. My Ancient Brits are CB figures as are the lancers for my EIR.

PS I have an extremely deserving home, although I also have a Sassanid army and the LIR figures I bought from Legio Heroica have worked their way to the head of the painting queue.

As these first sets are for MeG they might be plastic versions of the Lurkio figures ? CB figures are coming after them .

The Goths are definitely the Lurkio miniatures' Goths! Wait, I just spent a fortune on those in metal......So that is quite a surprise. I wonder if ALL the Lurkio figures are going plastic?

I have just seen an announcement from Xyston that they are also joining the PSC stable. The first products from their range should be available in the Spring.

Interestingly, for all the interest here in plastic. in that announcement on TMP linked over on the Miniature Reviews heading PSC says they will be doing metal later.

Options for the consumer are always good, but I am not really interested in plastic figures when there are other alternatives.

While I might buy some of these figs just to try them out...I will probably still prefer metal. While I love Perry plastics...their metal ranges aren't that much more expensive and they save the time in building the models. I am done buying 25mm plastics. Joe Collins
