The next cab off the rank are the Early Anglo-Saxons, II/73. The figures that I'm using are Splintered Light Miniatures, which I picked up at Historicon 10 years ago! So far I have completed enough figures for 4 elements worth of solid Warband, including the figures for the General's element. Next up will be the 2 Ps figures and enough figures for 2 elements of solid Warband. Cheers, I've just completed enough figures for 2 elements of solid Warband and an element of Psiloi. Next up will be 3 more elements of solid Warband figures. Cheers,

My 'to do' list is to sit in a corner and cry because of the massive mountain of lead hanging around!!

So, I've just finished painting the Early Anglo-Saxons and glued the figures to their bases. To finish off the bases I'll be trying the technique that Tony Aguilar showcased on his YouTube video about a week ago.

Attended a Saxon/Viking re-enactment camp at Rotherham show last week and had a very interesting chat with a lady who has researched the dyeing techniques of the period and had tried them out herself.
Took some pictures of the colour samples she had for future reference. If I knew how to, I could post them on this site.
However generally greens, yellows and rusty/brown reds were all possible, mostly muted, and even some pale blues, though this was more difficult to produce and hence limited.
Pink was also available and some of the hairy Viking types were resplendent in their pink shirts.
