I've discussed my to do list with Paddy before and I am guilty of being too flighty to stick to my plan. I bought the Makkan army around the same time as Paddy but still have not finished it, but hope to complete it in the next few weeks.. so at least I can say I've bought and painted an army in the same year.
Sadly my normal average is 1 army per year but I do go into morphing an army once I start to aquire it... adding Allies or changing figures I'm not so fond of... At least I've recognized this flaw and if I can just aquire/paint a few elements for a few armies I can complete a massive number 4 armies this year!
.... That just leaves me 6 to paint while I'm eying up buying another two!

In an effort to reduce the number of unpainted armies from 27, I've started on the Lusitanians (II/39c). All figures have been undercoated and I'm about halfway through painting the 6xPs. Once they are done I'll move onto the 3x3Ax. When the army is completed I'll post images in the 2 FB groups that I belong to.
Cheers,

In an effort to reduce the number of unpainted armies from 27, I've started on the Lusitanians (II/39c)... That has always struck me as a challenging army to use. The Numidians are also challenging, but they at least have a few light cavalry.

I have 14 armies. And now for the fanfare, followed by a dramatic roll of drums!
They are all painted and nothing in the to do pile!
This may mean I am going to die. Note to self: Order another army today!

Note to self: Order another army today! You can't imagine how much I hate you with a passion!! I have just added to "my to do list! I have purchased from Helion Peter Denis' book "Battle for Britain 1066". I now have to print out, cut out and base 1 x Anglo Saxon Army 1 x Norman Army 1 x Viking Army Plus a Viking Longboat, numerous trees, Church, Burgh, Viking/Saxon houses, Great Hall, river sections as required, stream sections as required, marsh areas and tussocks. Perhaps the passionate hatred may subdue now to just a deep loathing!

The next cab off the rank are the Early Anglo-Saxons, II/73. The figures that I'm using are Splintered Light Miniatures, which I picked up at Historicon 10 years ago! So far I have completed enough figures for 4 elements worth of solid Warband, including the figures for the General's element. Next up will be the 2 Ps figures and enough figures for 2 elements of solid Warband.
Cheers,
