Here in the Australian Public Service my hours are somewhat flexible - so I can take a longer lunch and paint for just over an hour (if I could eat and paint I would get more done but so it goes). But in doing so I stay back later, and because everyone is on flexible hours I can be at the mercy of an early start-half hour lunch at desk-early finish colleague and if they have something they want done urgently I can easily be found in the break room surrounded by paints and figures.
Likewise when someone wants something done at any time I can be called in - which is why I am typing away to Fanaticus on a warm Saturday Afternoon while waiting for a data extraction program to run.
<and you tell that to the young kids of today....>

Very nice Deano! A bit of work in progress on my part on that Undead Dragon I got IDed here on Fanaticus - Painted over the exposed epoxy from my repair job and added some white to the exposed ribs, some red on what appear to be eruptions of some sort and around the ribs, and then threw on some green. Also painted the spikes brass and added some gunmetal blue 'corrosion' to them. Thinking of a lighter green in a few spots as well. Trying not to get carried away... Amusingly I got some red on the teeth when painting the tongue and interior of the mouth - after the fact decided it was a plus.

I am half way through painting 30 Late Medieval mounted and when done these will make 4 x 6Kn and 2 x Cv. The pace has been rather slow, but listening to the Witcher Audio book âTower of the Swallowsâ has kept the motivation up.

The pace has been rather slow, but listening to the Witcher Audio book âTower of the Swallowsâ has kept the motivation up. The 30 cavalry, now done, have been given a varnish. These will dry overnight and tomorrow I can apply the ground for them and the 14 elements of infantry.
Standards and banners next week.

With my Swiss bases finally flocked its on to a new project...Rajputs that I've had a while and stared at a few times but never got round to starting.Having little historical stuff to drive me on they have just sat in the box file waiting for my good intentions to transform into action.
Today I got off to a good start and have started the Bd,Bw and Ps and made good progress.đ

Haardrada - what figures are you using for your Rajputs? Essex? I'll be interested to see how they turn out.

Hi Paddy yes I'm using some essex but the Bd and Bw and Elephants are Outpost miniatures (With a Xyston General). The Outpost figures qlook closest to the illustrations in Armies of the Middle Ages 2 and you can get armoured/unarmoured ellies cheep. I cant work out how to upload photos onto here but do post on the fb site.đ The Camels are undecided yet as I have essex and Museum miniatures to choose from but I'm not sure if I like the pose of the essex figures and I'm not sure if the museum figures look too big.đ¤
