Don’t think there’s anyone here not done that at some point! Good to know I’m not the only dimwit here then 🙈 No being is dimwit is during a painting session putting tippex* thinner into your eye instead of eyedrops! *showing my age here

Oh no! Fortunately the cans for my undercoat & sealer look very different & I keep them in two different places. Even then, I've always dreaded making that mistake. I wouldn’t mind, but it isn’t exactly the first time I’ve done it "Experience is what enables you to recognise the same mistake when you make it again."

Haardrada,
(NOT THAT I AM JEALOUS... honest... well just a tad maybe) .... but did you say "thats ALL MY book 1 armies finished" in like I am doing ten for example; or is it more "thats ALL MY book 1 armies finished" like I have I have done one for each army in the book? Either way its got to be OMG...I mean I followed the (open / public) link - and thanks for that - to your lovely I/5b Elamite etc army and it looks cool and fun .... but how many more is it?!?!
CarlL just going off to a dark cool room to calm down at the thought of all the book I possibilities .... I think I might have completed two from the book 1 .. Syrians with chariots, and Midianites two riders to a camel (well some I couldn't get the second riders to stay on some camels) all in 25mm a long time ago... I was once bought a 15mm Trojan army as a present, (isn't that book 1?) and I get it out the box occasionally to tell it one day you will get painted ...
PS Somehow 'book I' armies never quite appealed ... I think I put that down to trying to play with chariots in Armati, oops, sorry I swore then.... CarlL

CarlL I hope I didn't give you a headache CarlL?😊 To clarify...I have painted all the book I armies that I own so far. These are... I/4 Guti Revolt plus I/5b Elamite or Susianian allies. I/8abc Dilmun,Makkan,Saba etc.(incl.Midianite allies for the b list). I/15 Late Amorites. I/28 Sea Peoples. I/32bc Spring & Autumn Chinese with Northern Barbarian allies for the c list. I/43b Early Hu. I must admit I wasn't a fan of book I armies but found myself in their orbit...the Early Hu were an easy morph from my Hsuing nu army(I like LH armies 😁) , the Sea Peoples are an obvious opponent for New Kingdom Egyptians,The Spring & Autumn were inspired by the tale of the sword of Gourgan and the Dilmun Makkan etc.army came about after a discussion with another gamer looking for a suitable army for a tournament....I liked the army so much I bought it too.lol I may add more armies at a later date but for now they are all painted. 😊

No headache here. Great achievement by yourself. Always good hear when someone paints up their collected figures,

Now the flock has settled on the Gutians it's time to start my next project...IV/36ab Late Muslim Indian...
I am borrowing some elements from my painted Ghaznavids & Hindu Indians to be able to field the (a) list, but the (b) list is a stand alone army in itself.
All figures prepped and undercoated.Flags researched and selected and colour palette sort of settled on....off we go.😊

Work well underway on the first refurbishment project, with the 2xCv and 2xPs of the Polybian Romans now finished. Photos here: www.facebook.com/share/p/mB1CZkHYdAiVr5GW/?Triarii are nearly done and just the final touches on the basing required. The Italian allies are on the painting deck now… P
