OOH ... AAARRRGH.. kaipranos... MAGNIFICENT... surely with a stone slab base this counts as an edifice.... or does it need a whole pyramid of steps for that?

Yes, I probably should put together a nice little pyramid for them to stand on... my terrain-building has lagged behind my painting for a couple of years! Superb! Is this an obsidian blade? (I see with relief it is no human sacrifice.) I painted it light gray instead of black, so probably flint or another stone. (Animal lovers may not be so relieved... but perhaps the cat is merely undergoing some emergency surgery  ) Really awesome. --Of course, those outfits look great now, but in about two seconds they're either gonna be all blood splattered, or that little kitty is gonna wake up and scratch out the priests' eyeballs! A lot of demands on my time over my extended weekend, but on Saturday I finished
1xLH for the Anatolian Turkomen
1x3Kn for the Ptolemaic (list a)
The Turkomen are now battle ready, but it turns out that I don't have enough LH figures to complete all options. Hunting for some Turkish LH will need to occur soon

A solid weekend of painting and basing has resulted in the completion of the Sarmatians 6mm rebasing project, along with the extra 1xCv and 1x3Bd elements required to make the Dacians 3.0 compliant 😁 Just the Early Germans now to go and then all 20 armies for the 2024 Northern Cup will be ready to roll…
Next 15mm project up on the deck is the Forged in Battle Parthians - nice 😊

I've had a number of distracted weekends and not made it to the painting desk for any decent length of time for a while. This was no exception, but I did manage to finish a second element of 3Kn for my Communal Italian army. However my good friend Chris finished painting a Norse Irish army for me last week. I took delivery of it on Wednesday and slapped it onto bases Thursday/Friday (I had to run over to Olympian games to secure some more 20mm deep bases to get it done). I plan to start flocking and decorating the bases from tomorrow. As it stands I still need a couple more figures for the Command Position and Chris is obliging me  Cheers |
