Painting 25mm Anglo-Danish. The trouble is, I painted the first lot c.30 years ago. My painting style has changed a bit!

The Great 6mm Rebasing project is now complete, with the Early Germans finished yesterday.
Couple of bits of terrain to do and then onto the Legio Heroica 15mm Crusaders and Muslims that I picked up second hand last year. Should be at least 2, maybe 3, Early Crusader DBA armies out of this lot and Iβll be selling most of these and just keeping the one for personal use π

On Saturday I finished off 1xLH for the Communal Italians I really need some serious painting time - but my days are filling up with more practical wargaming related activities (like actually playing) Long weekend coming up in the ACT - so that is an EXTRA long weekend for me - paints should come out Cheers

The II/79 Chinese Southern Dynasty army is complete (subject to basing) this includes most options for wb/wwg and alternative 3Kn/4Kn elements.
I've also added an artillery element morph into a II/63 Three Kingdoms & Western Tsin army.
I also completed 3x LH (including a General) to add to a II/38 Hsuing nu army to be able to morph it into a II/80d Other Hun army.
This is the second army I've completed this year....something I haven't done for a long time so I'm rather pleased.
Next up are II/79b Lombards, the army is partly completed anyway as I'd added Lombard allies to a Norman army a few years ago...then I have to decide what to do next π€

I know I should be basing Chinese and Asiatic horse archers but I just wanted to paint! That means I brushed off the dust and de-flashed and undercoated some Lombards.π

Crusaders are on the table and, btw, it's reminding me how much I love Legio Heroica figures.... creatures of beauty ;-)

The long weekend saw me finish 1x3Ax and 1x4Pk for the Macedonian Early Successor (Kassandros) - this army is now legal (I can field a 12 element army from what is complete) 1xLH for the Anatolian Turkomen 1xEl for the Ptolemaic
A bit of basing for the elements finished last week, and now I need to prep some new strips to keep the chain running.
Cheers

Painted some three-horse Assyrian chariots. Essex figures. Despite shortening the yoke-pole, there is a sizable overhang at both the back and the front of the 40mm square bases. I still haven't figured out how to post pictures here, but there are a couple of photos on my club's Facebook page (which is a public group) - www.facebook.com/groups/8526860097

Lovely chariots. I see its not just big 25mm (and not so big 25mm) that struggle to fit into the DBx basing conventions ..
ah... 15mm is the answer to the question posed elsewhere !!
I have to admit to putting my over size 25mm / 28mm figures on 'bigger' bases for DBx so some close order foot are on 60x25mm and some cavalry on 60x45mm or even odd 60x50mm base. I then play as per rules in terms of a base being pushed back etc its just the bigger bases always go further.... not too sure how this affects the geometry of the DBA or DBMM game but it seemed a solution to figures over hanging bases.
