Finally finished my IV/85a Burgundian Ordonnance army. (15mm Mikes Models.) Seems I've been working on this for months now; those flags and such are really slow going. Got the flocking done yesterday. Here are a few pics. (More up on the FB group.) The "spring wildflowers" were something I saw on a player's army at Recon 2022 last month in Florida. I went right over to the vendors tables to get some. Below are the 8Lb elements (well, "11Lb", since I'm a disciple of Eric Donaldson's Basing Heresies), flanked by the Artillery. Below are the Mounted Infantry. (I gotta figure out how to use them; they're such a rarity in DBA.) Lastly, the whole army arrayed, although I didn't build / paint every possible option.

Very belatedly, beautiful work on those Ostrogoths, Didi / Arindel. One of my favourite armies of Roman times, having trounced Romans after much illtreatment on the Danube then carved out kingdom in western provinces! CarlL

Progressing on the Mounted elements of the Former Ch'in and should hopefully finish them tomorrow.
That will just leave the Chinese Bd & Cb left to do to complete the army.๐

Snuck in a little bit of painting this afternoon and finished off the last two elements of my Post Mongol Samurai (b list) - 1x3Bd and 1x3Pk
This Samurai army was the last DBA2.2 Project that I started (way back when DBA3 was just a shouting match on an email forum) and was completed to 2.2 standards as DBA3 began to take shape.
Once DBA3 was published I made up my famous comparison list and began the long task of bringing my 100 odd armies up to Purple compliance, but also continued to paint new armies.
The Samurai mark the penultimate army of my original stable - I only have the Later Hungarians to bring up to code.
Cheers

...the long task of bringing my 100 odd armies up to Purple compliance... The Samurai mark the penultimate army of my original stable - I only have the Later Hungarians to bring up to code. Congrats on that Herculean effort thus far. How big a project will the renovation of your Later Hungarians be? Similar, "Purple Compliance" efforts here, with nearly all armies reno'd. For me, my two unreformed armies of note are... - III/49 Iqshidid -- Dunno what to do about this old army. I like the look of the old 8Bw elements. I could just keep it as-is, but part of me feels I should get it up to snuff for v3. What to do?
- IV/80 Hussite -- Too lazy to reform this one, even though the army is based mounted on pre-Litko cardboard. Eeeeuuw! The army is technically v3 compliant, just lacks the WWg (Gen) option.
