After all the fussiness of the Burgundians, I decided a very simple project was in order: Pre-Vedic Indians (Khurasan). Even at my pedantic painting pace, these are going quickly!

Back on the Napoleonics. 15mm Russian muskets, Spanish cavalry and Georgian Aznauri. Those Georgian Aznauri sound interesting. I picked up the "Grosset All Color Guide - Military Uniforms, 1686-1918", at the thrift store today, and I will have a peek and see if they are in there, but if you are ever so inclined, please post a pic of those when you are finished, please and thanks in advance.

I prepped and primed the remaining figures for my Pre-Vedic Indian project, including a Jumbo for the Camp...but, woke up this morning to the dreaded, " Fuzzy Primer Syndrome". They're ruined. My fault. I think I held the primer a little too far away from the figures. My choices seem to be: - Try to file off the worst of the fuzziness and re-prime.
- Soak them in paint-stripper, then scrub off most of the primer with an old toothbrush and re-prime.
Suggestions?

Update on my PVI disaster: Soaked 'em in paint-stripper for an hour. Sloughed right off with a light scrub & rinse. All figures back to bare metal. Re-primed successfully. No fuzzies!

...the long task of bringing my 100 odd armies up to Purple compliance... The Samurai mark the penultimate army of my original stable - I only have the Later Hungarians to bring up to code. Congrats on that Herculean effort thus far. How big a project will the renovation of your Later Hungarians be? Similar, "Purple Compliance" efforts here, with nearly all armies reno'd. For me, my two unreformed armies of note are... - III/49 Iqshidid -- Dunno what to do about this old army. I like the look of the old 8Bw elements. I could just keep it as-is, but part of me feels I should get it up to snuff for v3. What to do?
- IV/80 Hussite -- Too lazy to reform this one, even though the army is based mounted on pre-Litko cardboard. Eeeeuuw! The army is technically v3 compliant, just lacks the WWg (Gen) option.
I can remember going through that agonising decision with the Fatimids - where all of a sudden the 8Bw went the way of Aztec Arrow Knights (WRG5th Ed reference) and St Christopher In the end I decided all in - and the spare bowmen spread across my other Islamic armies. Cheers

As the Carthaginian project comes to a conclusion, I’ve begun a Gothic collection, utilising a mix of second hand troops supplemented by new Forged in Battle minis. This should allow for the fielding of a range of armies, such as II/65, II/67 & II/72…

Finished painting two Numidian generals and auxiliaries (3Ax). These packs were ordered on Baueda along with the Marian Roman and now complete a second command.

A few solid hours in the garage at the painting desk, despite the Canberra Winter saw me finish
1x3Wb and 1x3Ax for the Guti Great Revolt 1x3Bw and 1xPs for the Elamite - the army is now legal (ie I can field a 12 element army) 1xPk and 1xLh for the Antigonids - this army is now complete

I'm not as good as a painter as the people above me, but I'm happy to have finished this. Touching up some of those tiny mistakes the camera picks up on so well, as I type this. Calling these guys a command chariot, or a CWg/ CP. I know some people don't like to mess with the army lists/ rules, but it's hard for me to enjoy painting/ buying/ assembling miniatures, if I know the list doesn't historically reflect the army. (I lost a piece to that chariot, going to have to make that and a umbrella for the chariot, eventually.) Command chariots differ from HCh and LCh, by resembling a CP, a CWg such as the Carrocio Standard Wagon, or a CP. It usually consists of one chariot or a small group of chariots accompanied by bodyguards (usually mounted). The chariot(s), carried the more important military officials and advisors, and were used to raise flags and signal movements for the army, as well as get off the battlefield if the battle was going poorly. Such as in 200 CE, after Cao Cao had burned the granaries at Wu Chao, Yuan Shao and 800 of his close advisor/ generals, fled Guan Du, leaving behind almost all of the infantry (30,000-80,000), to surrender and be reportedly buried alive by Cao Cao. The command chariot as a CWg or a CP, is aimed at representing this group of 800, in the anecdote above. Late Han and the Warlords that followed the collapse of the Han, still used chariots as symbols of power and prestige, sometimes even copying royal chariots in the dreams of becoming emperor one day, like the governor Liu Yan attempted in Ba-Shu (right before he died, due to lightening striking the building these faux royal chariots were in causing sever burn damages to his body).

I've started work on bringing my Post Mongol Russians up to code. I originally bought this army on eBay back in the twilight days of 2.2. Unfortunately I can't recall who was the vendor.
I have purchased from Khurusan Miniatures packets of Cv and Cb figures for a 1x4Cb element, crew for a pair of WWg that I'll attempt to scratchbuild and one element of Cv.
Today was spent refreshing the greenery on the bases and tomorrow I'll tart up the snow to represent an early Spring thaw.
Once completed I'll post images on the 2 FB DBA pages.
Cheers,
