Today I completed the horses for the 2x4Kn elements and made a start on their riders. Hopefully I'll finish them off tomorrow. Cheers, The 2x4Kn elements for the Three Kingdoms of Korea armies are complete, glued to their bases and goop has been applied. Today I'll decorate the textured bases and apply tufts. Taking a break from mounted figures I'll commence work on the only outstanding foot element next, the sole 1x4Bd element. Cheers, Today I painted up the figures for the 1x4Bd element and glued them to their base. Tomorrow I'll apply goop and the following day I'll paint up the textured base and apply flocking and tufts. Cheers,

Before moving on to the 2 command elements I'll take a slight detour and paint up figures for an east Asian baggage element that will accompany the Baekche when they march out for Collision Course in May. Cheers,

Across the Thursday to Sunday period I managed to finish off
1xLH, 1x4Bd and 1x4Bw for the Christian Nubians 1x3Ax and 1x3Pk for the Guti Great Revolt 1x4Pk(Gen), 1x4Pk and 1x3Kn for the Antigonids and 1xSp for the Tibetans
This means the last figures for the Nubians and Antigonids are prepped so it was time to determine which are the next two armies to put into the queue. I decided on Morean Byzantine (b list) and Anatolian Turkomen.
cheers

Finished the Marian army pack from Baueda; varnish these later tonight. The two months spent making four game mats had its affect, I felt I was struggling as painting skill and speed were below the usual standard. I have one more army pack, but first another painting project (fun) in the queue. When the Polish Renaissance figures arrived, I left the Marian army fixed to their painting sticks. Two plus months later, the Marian are now based and look impressive. Groundwork, flocking and tufts to follow.

Hello everyone. I'm back to DBA after years ... I just finished this Greuthungis / Ostrogoth army (II/67b) for an upcoming club event. The miniatures are from Legio Heroica. The oxcart is built from scratch. On the workbench there are still 4x4Wb and 1xLH (Alains LH) on going to make the II67a list option.

Got cracking with some LBM shield transfers for my EIR. Most of you no doubt know their quality but just to say I love em.

I'm just awaiting inspiration for this particular army. Cheers,

This major project is inching its way to a conclusion. Only the 2 command elements to go. Cheers,

Cheers, Greg, Caesar’s Gallic and Civil War series presented by the Kings and Generals channel did it for me. While painting, I had this as background music. www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2X-wO9bp2Y&list=PLevPCd1trgVWgglOgXaPORpfBSrveRxHj&index=27&t=3606s

Spurred on by a recent discussion of Marian Romans in the “lead pile”, I cleaned 41 foot and 11 mounted of the second Baueda army pack, ordered in November of last year. These are now ready for an undercoat. While cleaning them, I recalled another Italian manufacture with a similar style and size, Strategia Nova. Their range is limited, but each figure come in a wide variety of poses.

Detailing tomorrow and hopefully by the end of the day 41 infantry will be done. Cavalry next week.

A chum painted me up a Corvus Belli EIR DBA set, just been basing em up. I painted up loads of Ancient British but ran out of steam when it came to the Roman's so nice to have em done finally. Now want to get em up to Lart size force. Luckily I bought some painted Roman's really cheap but their basing was a bit odd for my taste but still based for DBX.
Of course I have half of em standing in water to dampen the filler to strip it and start again. All this despite having shed loads of other projects on the boil, it amazes me how a bit of motivation kick starts me to get cracking on with em. Poor Macedonians are super angry as they are off the painting table again.
