Tiger skin cloths on some 15mm chariot horses. (Four 4-horse chariots, although I may try leopard skin for the general's.) I have a feeling that this way madness lies. I was wrong. What really drives one mad is trying to fit the finished item onto a 40x40mm base. I have posted a picture on Facebook. It is a public group so I think most people will be able to view it. www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=4913165415442783&set=gm.10158833497805098

The horses were completed yesterday, so I'll move on to the riders today. Cheers, The figures for the 2x3Cv elements have been glued to their bases and I applied goop this morning. Hopefully I'll be able to paint up the textured bases, apply flocking and tufts this afternoon. Next up are the figures for the sole 3Kn element. Cheers, The 2x3Cv have had their bases decorated and I've made significant progress with the 1x3Kn figures. The horses have been painted and I hope to paint up the riders today. Cheers,

Two Carthaginian Els are now done, as part of the SpeedPaint trial and pictures on FB. Need to finish off the 6mm Persian Hd and LCh Gen elements and then full gas on with some 15mm projects

That only leaves 4 elements to go to completing this project; 2x4Kn, 1x3Cv(G) and 1x4Kn(G). All being well with the world I'll make a start on the 2x4Kn on the weekend. Cheers,

I've finally finished the last of the Teutonic figures - the 'Prussian' auxilia. Wondering whether to begin painting something else or finally do some bases.

My weekend was beset by many distractions and on top of it all when I look at the Herculean task of sorting the unpainted lead into the new sets of drawers I tend to back away from the corner of the garage where my toys are set up. Add to that, daylight savings has come to an end in Oz for the year, so less natural light.
I snuck in a session on Sunday afternoon despite the cold and finished off 1xLH for the Christian Nubians and 1x3Pk and 1x3Ax for the Guti Great Revolt.
Cheers

Painting flags for my IV/85a Burgundian Ordonnance army. They're so ornate that they're almost easy to paint. Pics upon completion.

The plan is to clear the lead backlog of half painted armies now that retirement has finally arrived . I'm envious. Enjoy your reward. Alas, I still have 3-5 years to go. Sigh. (At least, I still love my job.)

I'm about to commence painting banners for the 2 command elements for my Three Kingdoms of Korea armies. But only after I've actually painted the figures for the 1x4Kn (G) and 1x3Cv (G) elements. Cheers,
