Although I am still painting up my Phrygians, which are just flying off the painting table, I am also working on some siege towers, which I want to use for next CanGames, which is not until May 2022.

Wow! those siege tower are great are they craft handed? Paper card maybe?. I m also planing to build up Phrygian Army. What figures do you use? Hoplites? It seems no manufa turer produce those phrygians high crest helmet hoplon and trousers suitable to look like terracotta archeological painting.

It seems no manufa turer produce those phrygians high crest helmet hoplon and trousers suitable to look like terracotta archeological painting. I made one out of plaster, but I was not happy with the results, and managed to find an .stl file for the siege tower piece for the Stronghold boardgame, and decided to use that. Simple but effective. Yeah, I wonder if you are referring to the pic. of some Phrygian soldiers I spotted in a wiki entry? I am using mostly Magister Militum figures, namely quite a few of the Thracian figures, as they have the Phrygian style cap. I agree with you... it seems like you can find figures with a similar crest but no proper leggings to go with it, or figures with the other orientation. I am also using some figures that I think are Falcon, but not sure as I got them through a trade via Tony Aguilar. Although they are modelled to be Assyrian auxillary, I found the crests to be further away than other similarly modelled figures from other manufacturers, and reminded me of the pic. from the wiki entry, so decided to go with them. If you would want some of the siege towers, give me shout.

I'm starting work on an Ancient British army using FiB figures. First up are the single Ps element and the 7Hd element. For the solid Horde element I'll be using FiB's Druid pack. Cheers, Today I completed the Ps element and I'm about halfway through the the 7Hd element. Cheers, Yesterday I finished the 7Hd element. Today I'll begin the first 3 bases of 3Wb for the Ancient British. Cheers,

30 LH and Cv are done and varnished. Horses for the last half are painted, after lunch, the trappings and horse armour.
Soon, the principalities of Moscow and Novgorod will have unwanted guests at their doorstep.

Major makeover of my late Seleucids is nearing completion. Vintage Mikes Models...my faves. Next up is to paint 20 shield patterns to complete the last two Pike elements of the phalanx. (Might need a glass of wine.)

I'm back in the saddle and painting an Alexandrian Macedonian army. That's really getting into the spirit...painting while on horseback. Pictures, please!

Yes metaphorically,I'm a middle aged man galloping along with with the wind in my thinning hair, squinting over over some long forgotten treasures. With brush in hand, Tally ho!
