I am still working to find a way to get rid of the hand shakes. I haven't found the best position yet, but using contrast paints for the first time has been kinda fun.

Thanks. I am still working to find a way to get rid of the hand shakes. A stiff whiskey usually works......๐๐ณ (and if you saw my paintwork youโd probably work that out fer yerself...๐ถ) Seriously though, keep us updated. Good to see the Germans on the go. ๐๐ผ

Thanks. I am still working to find a way to get rid of the hand shakes. I haven't found the best position yet, but using contrast paints for the first time has been kinda fun. For me it is my eyes. I find sometimes it takes a few minutes for my eyes to go from not seeing much detail on the figure to being able to see clearly. I have heard good things about contrast paints, one in particular being that it has helped some people get their figures from "farm to table" quicker.

Yes, I am finding contrast help a lot getting "farm to table". I so far have been able to paint an element at a time in for over 1hr. Contrast all base colors, then attempt to not screw things up with a highlight and/or dry brush. Scott

Unfortunately due to a great demo game of DBN a 6mm Russian Napoleonic force is about to be added to the painting list.

The completed army really look well. Aside from the Khazar what armies remain on your list? Thanks - Iโve got the Later Visigothic, Umayyad Arab, Abbasid Arab, Bagratid Armenian & Konstantinian Byzantine still to go ๐ P Looking forward to seeing what you come up with the Bagratids because it is an often overlooked army.

I'm aiming to use Legio Heroica's 'Holyland' range for the foot and some of the mounted, with Essex to supplement the Cv and LH elements P.

I completed the elephant yesterday, including basing and tufting. I must say that the elephant was a joy to paint and I'm really pleased with how the experiment using Citadel's Contrast Paints turned out. Hopefully I'll get the crew completed in the next couple of days. Cheers, The elephant, complete with crew, is now completed. I just need to spray varnish today and I'll post images on the 2 FB DBA pages. Next up will be an appropriate camp. Cheers, Images of the elephant can be found on the 2 FB DBA pages. Cheers,

Cheers, Images of the elephant can be found on the 2 FB DBA pages. Cheers, Just when I thought that I'd completed the Pyrrhic army I decided that I needed 2 elements of Sp. I could have used any of the many Sp elements i already own, but no I had to go down a different route. So 8 Xyston figures were soaked off their bases and then immersed in acetone to remove the 2 decades old paint scheme. They have now been reassembled and applied to painting nails. Tomorrow I'll apply primer. Cheers,
