Whew! Finished painting/flocking my new Forged in Battle: War & Empire, Dark Ages III Viking army. This line of figures seem to paint up quickly. I have several of their armies now and really like them.

Hi Geoff Here are my 6mm EAP They are actually based for Impetus rather than DBA. Doing Sparabara and Immortals it would be easy enough to do a row or two of spears backed up by one or two more of bow. My bases are 80mm x 30mm as this is just what my club decided to use for Impetus and HC Full army or at least what I have done, the rapier miniature army boxes are massive despite being small Chariots Indians Saka archers Cavalry Sparabara bows and the spears in impetus it is two units grouped together but on a 40mm x 40 mm base it would be easy to have two ranks or spears with two ranks of bows behind them

Images of the elephant can be found on the 2 FB DBA pages. Cheers, Just when I thought that I'd completed the Pyrrhic army I decided that I needed 2 elements of Sp. I could have used any of the many Sp elements i already own, but no I had to go down a different route. So 8 Xyston figures were soaked off their bases and then immersed in acetone to remove the 2 decades old paint scheme. They have now been reassembled and applied to painting nails. Tomorrow I'll apply primer. Cheers, Primer has been applied. Rather than my usual practice of spraying matte black paint I'm following Tony Aguilar's suggestion and using Vallejo's Surface Primer. The Black Surface Primer was out of stock so I'm using Vallejo's German Panzer Grey instead. It certainly goes on a treat and flows well off the brush. Today I'll begin applying flesh and hopefully some clothing colours. Cheers,

No more worrying about wind or if it is too cold, or the nozzle is clogged, or I did not shake the can properly, etc.. I have such control over how much primer to use and where it is applied, just awesome!

Cool! Even though I do not have a facebook account, I did manage to see some of your pics by just clicking on your links, and ignored all the "please join t see more" stuff. Awesome shield work, Paul!

Very nice! I like them a lot. How did you find FiB and Essex mix?

Very nice! I like them a lot. How did you find FiB and Essex mix? Pretty good overall - I haven't got any mixed on the same bases, but they're both 'true' 15mm and look fine next to one another so far. The final Cv element will have an Essex figure joining two of the FiB ones and as I'm painting them up, it all looks ok. p.
