On the weekend I put in a lot of work basing my Hoplite (Other), New Kingdom Egyptian and the elements finished last week. I finished painting the 3Kn and the CP general for my Papal Italian Scrap Build - this element will be described as the Pope stepping down to deliver either an excommunication or a blessing, and the litter itself off camera Cheers

While I wait for the remainder of the figures I want to use for a Neo-Hittite/Anatolian army to arrive in the post, I am painting up some extra stands that I can use for a Kushite or Saitic Egyptian army, specifically OMK5 from Magister Militum. I just love many of the figures for their Egyptian range, I could easily paint up hundreds of those guys, just would prefer someone else purchasing them for me

Considering if I want to paint the Tuareg army..... hmmm..... Go for it! I’m considering whether I paint a Sarmatian army or a Syrian army.

I had a very productive weekend - I finished basing the two Papal Italian and Libyan elements painted last week, along with a New Kingdom Egyptian (a list) from the collection of figures I acquired from a deceased estate.
I then took up the paints and finished 2xSp and 2x4Cb for the Papal Italian - the army is done 1x3Ax and 1x5Hd for the Early Libyans 1x3Bd(Gladiators) and 1xLCm which were all that I needed to paint to bring in a full Early Imperial Roman army from the deceased estate figures. 1xLCh for the Hittites - back when I started to bring my armies up to Purple Compliance I used whatever Light Chariot I had to hand to bring the Hittites up to code. Since then I have acquired a proper Hittite LCh and will put that into the army.
Cheers

Finishing up some HYW knights. I hate heraldry! And preparing for my next two armies, LIR vs Visigoths

Got a double whollop, as both orders of figures from different companies arrived in the post, so have switched back to doing Neo-Hittite / Anatolian stands.
I am painting up some of the OMK3 figures from Magister Militum, and using them as skirmishers.

On the weekend I snuck in some painting while preparing for The Battle of the (War)bands in Goulburn.
It was primarily a basefest as I prepared the bases for an Early Imperial Roman army from a deceased estate that has come into my possession.
I also painted the last 7Hd element to bring one of my Anglo Danish armies up to code.
Cheers

Trying my best to finish my 25mm Irregular Samnites. My painting mojo is on the wane .... When passion fades, as it inevitably must without chemical aid, I find trying to push ( hobby) projects to a conclusion counter productive. It's times like these I just pull something, almost random, out and paint for sheer pleasure. In my case that's usually fantasy and it's why this year my 15mm Goblin army suddenly, actually, became an army unexpectedly. I then find going back to painting a different kind of pantless guy with spear and shield a little more engaging. Though, I'm in no particular hurry either.
