Very nice, though noticed you opted for a uniform look?

got sidetracked this week and am working on 28mm Scots, starting with the Bruce himself. My big dilemma is whether to base them 60mm and use them for DBA or stick with the current basing strategies which are 20mm frontage per infantry model, 25mm frontage for skirmishers and cavalry models. Wanna do more dynamic diorama type basing for the Scots so I've been flirting with 80mm or even 120mm bases. ( damn lack of gaming standardization.)

Very nice, though noticed you opted for a uniform look? Yes, not sure why, beyond the fact that I’d done this for the Horde as well and liked the idea of a three colour scheme 😉 P

Nice looking Sassanid. I liked your colour selection for the clothing.

I was kept from the painting table most of the weekend - at least while there was decent natural light to paint by. On Saturday afternoon I did brave the cold (the Painting table is in the garage so not in the centrally heated house). I did finish off the LH (mounted Cb) for my Burgundian Ordonance bringing then one element closer to being purple compliant. All up I have three armies with all of the remaining top ups to bring old 2.2 armies up to DBA3 levels sitting in the painting trays leaving nothing loose in the compliance project box.
* Mamluk Egyptian - some various foot elements * Khitan Liao - a LH, Cv, Art and Cb * Burgundian Ordonance - Mtd Lb, Art
Cheers

Trying to get up the enthusiasm to finish the last 8 spear figures for the 28mm Sub-Roman British. After that just the 9 cavalry to finish - but it's taken me nearly 5 years to paint this far .....

About to start on some 28mm Footsore Miniatures Picts. What are your thoughts on the Footsore 28s? I haven't yet seen any in the "flesh". For myself, I just took delivery of the remaining Antediluvian Scots to complete that army but I really need to finish the Early Swiss army I have on the bench. It is so close to being finished ( soooo close)

Finished all the 4xCv and nearly done the last of the 6x7Hd, with just the 3xEl to go, for the 3x Sassanid Persian armies.

Nice work, Martin.
On the home front, 6 elements of OG15 (17 FR05 and 1 FR01) Frankish Cavalry to add some KN/CV (as needed) to the Early and Middle Franks. Only the FR01 is equiped with more than a helmet and shield, but according to Heath and other references, only the richest Frankish, Goth, Lombard, Gepid warriors had extensive armor. Therefore, at least for now, the elements will be defined as KN or CV according to which particular sublist they are being used for.
Also 5 elements of the Essex MID90 Spanish knights with tasseled rounds for the 'b' and 'c' list Feudal Spanish. While the round shield was falling out of use after 1300, Heath notes that it never fell completely out of favor during the Middle Ages and into the Renaissance.
