Goodness me, Ken. I really like that. Can you remember which company made the escorts? Donnington Mongols....I have some on my Timurid Tower of Skulls.

Thanks and spot on Paul - CP’s are a triumph of style over substance but I just can’t resist them: my Early Egyptians have a litter and my Anglo Norman’s a wagon - great armies ruined by my choice of general’s element! Can’t wait to see your painted. K

I've used the Essex Sassanid Levy Spearman for lots of different nationalities - head swapping is very easy!

Two Khurasan Royal Guard spearmen will stand behind the "Bek Buggy", as I'm calling it. A Jewish rabbi (Xyston) and musician, blowing the Shofar, flank the model, left and right. I didn't attempt the "skulls on spears" motif shown in the animation and mentioned in accounts. Couldn't think of a way to model that, and kinda morbid anyway. Instead, used a pair of standards from Khurasan's command pack. ![]() Paul, I had forgotten the Xyston range of Maccabean figures. Many of these will fit in for the Jewish Revolt.
